Prologue

"I'm in love with you Artemis"

I tried so hard to stare blankly at him while asking myself how the fuck did he knew that I was Artemis.

"Stop it Asher. You know that I'm in a relationship" I wanted to keep my cool but he keeps walking towards me, keeping the space between us narrower.

"But you're supposed to be mine" I looked at his eyes and there's a glimpse of anger and jealousy. He looks really serious, this was the first time I saw him like this.

"I saw you first, I liked you first. You're even wearing the necklace that I gave you! " He spoke again, I can feel my heart beating faster as he talked. He was pointing at the necklace that my grandmother gave me.

"I--" I was about to talk when my phone started ringing. Alexander's name is written on the screen. I just stared at it, I don't even know if I want to talk to him right now.

"Don't Answer" He pleaded. I felt a tiny pierce in my chest when I saw his eyes. It was hurting, he was definitely hurting. I didn't even realize that he was so close.

"I'll steal you" before I can even respond, he leaned in to kiss me. This was the first time my reflexes failed me, instead of pushing him away, I kissed him back. His lips were welcoming, I can sense that he was shocked that I'm kissing him back.

So was I.

My phone started ringing again which pulled me back to reality. I stopped kissing him back and pushed him away.

No, this is wrong.

I quickly walked away, leaving Asher who was still in awe. My mind's a mess right now. Why did I do that?

Fuck. I just made my first mistake.
