I looked at myself in the mirror as I examined the white fitted dress I'm wearing. I've partnered it with a beige stilettos and my arrow necklace as an accessory. I may not seem like it,  but I also love dressing up.

I looked at the clock and it's almost 7 PM. It's almost time...

My hands are sweating big time, kanina pa ko di mapakali. I don't know if it's because of my grandparents or Alexander. Buti na lang wala dito si Liam ngayon, he would definitely freak out if he finds out about us.

I was drowning my thoughts by watching the television when I heard the doorbell.

"That must be him" I picked up my bag and head towards the door. I can feel my heart beating fast, what's up with me? I can do this.

I took a deep breath before opening the door. I saw Alexander holding a bouquet of roses in his left hand. He was wearing black long sleeves and slacks. He wasn't wearing his glasses kaya kitang kita yung mahaba niyang pilikmata.

Damn, he looks good.

I didn't even realize that I was staring intensely at him until he extended his arm to give me the bouquet. He chuckled as he saw me flinched due to his sudden movement.

"We'll have dinner with my grandparents" I stared at him to see his reaction but he seems fine with it. He just smiled and nodded.

We quietly walked towards his car while I'm carrying the bouquet of roses with my right hand.

"Mamamanhikan kagad ako? I'm fine with that" I heard him chuckle as he opened the door of his car for me. Para may sabong nanaman sa loob ng tyan ko, I tried to ignore it and just went inside his car.

The silence was deafening as we took the road towards my grandparents' house. I'm not fond of small talks, I don't have any topics in mind.

I'm just thankful that Alexander wasn't asking questions about my position in the underground society. The last time that we talked, he didn't ask me why I was there. I figure that he already knows about me being a part of it.

"You nervous?" he asked while stealing a glance at me. Do I look nervous? Maybe I am, my future depends on this night. I don't want to be engaged at such a young age, I'm only 21 for God sakes!

"No" I answered as I placed my hands at my side.

"Well, you really don't have to be. I'll be right by your side" He said with a hint of assurance in his voice.

Binalik niya na din yung paningin niya sa kalsada. Hindi na ko umimik pero nanatili lang akong naka sulyap sa kanya. Is he really this kind with people? Or is it because I helped him?

To think of it, Alexander is really doing me a huge favor. I need to be my best attitude with him, he really seems nice. I just hope this night will end well. For both of us.

"Thank you..." I mumbled enough for him to hear.

We were greeted by our staff the moment we reached the mansion. Mas maraming staff ngayon dito, like it is a special event na magpapakilala na ko ng lalake after 21 years of being single.

If only they knew.

I looked at Alexander who was walking beside me. He gave out a smile when our eyes met. I quickly looked away, mas kinakabahan pa ko sa mga titig niya kesa sa mangyayaring dinner.
