"You ready Laur?" Lauren was walking downstairs to the back door when her best friend, Dinah, grabbed her arm.
"Yeah, I was just about to go out back, are you coming?" She asked back and when Dinah nodded the 2-woman walked to the back door where the other 25 members of her pack stood waiting for her. She scanned her eyes across the crowd. Her pack consisted of 28 people, all ranging from 17-36. She was by far the strongest pack in East America, the Bloodmoon pack, who were based in LA, was a lot stronger as they had 200 members, luckily Lauren's father ran that pack. "Welcome members of the Red Moon Pack!" Lauren called out and received many cheers in return. "Tonight, everyone is to shift and take a run, we need to make sure the borders are still safe from surrounding hunters etc." She called out and received nods in return. "Shift and run!" she shouted, and a series of cracking bones sounded through the garden. A few wolves walked to each other and nuzzled their snouts before running into the woods hollowing. Dinah and Lauren were always last to shift being the Beta and Alpha. Dinah nodded and sifted, running and jumping on a grey wolf's back. Normani snapped back at her mate playfully. A blonde wolf rubbed along Lauren's leg before running off and tackling a dark blue wolf. Lucy and Vero both ran off into the crowd. Once everyone had shifted Lauren looked around and smiled at all the shredded clothes across the garden, shaking her head Lauren shifted too, shaking her black fur out, Lauren was the only Black wolf in her pack. She was pure black with the brightest green eyes.
About an hour had passed and Lauren decided to head home, when she had made it back, she shifted and walked shamelessly to the back porch where she saw a brunette leaving the house. Camila looked up when she heard someone coming closer.
"What do you want mutt?" Lauren snarled making the smaller girl flinch and nearly drop the pot she was holding. She shook her head and walked over to the long table that she was setting. Along the table was 5 large pots of food. Steaks and potatoes lined the table to. On a table to the side was jugs of water, beer and wine.
"I grabbed some clothes for you to change into Alpha Lauren." Camila mumbled and Lauren looked to her sharply.
"You went into my room?" she slowly spoke, and Camila froze. "You went into my room without my permission?"
"Um no, I grabbed some from the laundry room." Camila started and was physically trembling. "I know you don't like to eat naked, so I got some for you." Camila almost smiled at Lauren.
"So, you think you know me, do you?" Lauren snapped and the almost smile on Camila's face was instantly wiped off. "You don't know me, do not ever touch my clothes again mutt." Lauren snarled and saw Camila physically take a step back. Nyla was laughing in Lauren's head; Nyla was Lauren's wolf.
"Yes, Alpha L...Lauren oh course." Camila stuttered and her wolf Ariyah growled in her head. By now the rest of the pack were starting to turn up again, some of them ran inside to get changed and some just sat the table naked. No one dared to eat before Lauren said they could. She was well respected for a 19-year-old Alpha.
"Eat." Lauren said and tucked in herself, she saw Camila off to the side of the table staring at the floor. Her heart kind of clenched when she saw the tears in her eyes. Shaking that thought away she turned to Lucy who was talking about how the border is safe still. When Lauren turned to look where Camila was stood, she frowned when she wasn't there anymore. Lauren also noticed how the garden was cleaned from the clothes, she normally asked the pack to clean their own clothes, but Camila had obviously done that. Once everyone Lauren was finished, she excused herself from the table and went to her room, it was the biggest in the house and it overlooked the garden, she heard the ruckus of her pack leaving the table, she didn't hear anyone tidying up and that bothered her a bit, her pack was messy but they know to clean after themselves. Lauren stood up and walked to her open balcony and was surprised to see Camila there walking to the table. Lauren watched as Camila searched in the pots and in the empty jugs. Lauren laughed when she thought about how much 28 hungry wolves could eat. Lauren frowned instantly when she saw Camila take a half-eaten potato from someone's plate and eat it. Lauren watched Camila do this a couple more times before Lauren made her way downstairs and out the back door. She saw Camila stacking up the used plates and pots into piles and threw away scraps into the binbag she was holding. When Camila had cleared the table from plates, she turned to look at the door and was shocked to see her Alpha there. Not realising that she had a perfect look into Lauren's beautiful eyes, suddenly her stomach constricted and Ariyah howled in her head, the wonderful scent she had been smelling was Lauren.
