Pine... oak... flowers... grass. This is all Lauren could smell as her paws hit the ground at a fast pace. She didn't know where she was all she could smell was trees. She was running and she was running fast. The distant sound of paws hitting puddles and snapping branches and sticks were fuelling Lauren on. Run.
Lauren was attacked on her way home from school one day and she thought she was dead, until she awake a few days later in a forest of some kind. She opened her eyes and suddenly saw paws and a snout. She was a wolf. "Its Okay." A voice called making her jump and spin around. "I'm in your head Lauren, I am your wolf, Nikah." After explaining to Lauren everything she could about being a wolf, she allowed Lauren the choice to change back to human, but Lauren was too shocked to even think about changing. A howl sounded behind her along with a growl making Lauren jump and Nikah shout for her to run.
Here Lauren was running past trees and streams and fences, she'd been running for so long she was way out of Miami by now. Nikah was telling her to keep running but Lauren was tired and in pain from running, her left paw hurt. Whimpering she started to slow until a twig snapped to her right. "Go Lauren." Nikah said and off Lauren went pushing harder against her sore paw.
Vanilla
Suddenly all other smells left Lauren's senses and her direction changed, running towards the smell. Nikah has suddenly gone quiet. A house popped up in the distance and more started to appear the closer she got, it looked like a small village in the woods, all log cabins about 2 stories hight, all apart form the main one which looked to be 4 stories high. Apart from the biggest one Lauren could see 7 other cabins, they could help she thought.
Just as she took a step past a wooden fence she was swiftly taken to the ground with a lot of force and a whimper fell from her mouth.
"Ouch." Nikah said just as Lauren opened her eyes and looked up towards a hug wolf with grey fur and dirty black teeth, his eyes were pure red. This is it; Lauren thinks. Just as the hound was about to chomp down on her neck, without warning the weight on her body was lifted and a thud was heard behind her. She looked over and saw the grey wolf circling against a blue wolf which was a lot bigger than him. After a few tense moments the grey wolf snapped and lunged at the blue wolf, but the bigger wolf dodged him and snapped down on the grey wolfs hind legs. He put his paw on the grey wolfs neck and then 2 other wolves, one grey and one darker grey both dragged the wolf from the grounds Lauren was lying on. 2 other red wolves stalked towards her, one larger than the other. Lauren saw that one of them looked a lot younger than the other.
In a blink of an eye the older red wolf changed and turned human, she slowly bent down and looked at Lauren with a small tilt of her head.
"She doesn't look dangerous Ale, she looks confused." She voiced to the blue wolf who nodded and turned. One of the grey wolves from earlier turned up with some clothes for the naked people and lead the smaller red wolf away from the group. After getting changed the woman leaned down and slowly reached out towards Lauren who panicked and growled barring her teeth, which was a big mistake when a roar of growls sounded from all around her. Flattening her ears against her head lowered her head and noticed about 30 wolves all emerging from the tree lines. The hairs on her back stood up and so she turned her body and tried to stand she put weight on her left paw and collapsed into a heap with a whimper. "Stop!" the woman announced, and Lauren watched as the wolves started to disappear one by one. "Sorry, they get protective of their Luna." She chuckled and Lauren was still trying to push herself up but to no avail she fell again. "Shift, it's okay." The woman said but Lauren shook her head.
"You don't know how?" The man the woman called Ale asked and Lauren shook her head. "Just think about becoming human again, make that your only thought." He said and Lauren tried to do as asked, slowly she felt her bones cracking and shifting making her whimper and whine. "I know it hurts but you're nearly there." Ale said encouraging her to shift. After a few excruciating moments of pain, relief flooded her body. She lay there shivering and naked for the two others to see when she spotted the grey wolf returning with some clothes, the closer it got the harder Lauren's breathing got, she started moving back, scared. The wolf noticing and stopped, lowering its body and its head. It lay still on the ground and shuffled forward slightly until it was beside Lauren's feet, it nudged her leg and then her hand until Lauren lay her shaking hands against the beast head. Purring against her leg the wolf pushed the clothes closer and Lauren got the idea to get changed. Her left hand was in agony and was flopping at her side.
