Chapter 19

It was Christmas eve. Rose, Nessa and Sibby were in their room getting ready for the ball. Nessa and Sibby talked lively with each other it front of a mirror, admiring each other's dresses, while Rose stood in the other side getting ready for the ball quietly. She wore a little black strapless dress with golden pumps and a necklace, she let her red curly hair down as it was, very curly and very red. She put some mascara on and a little bit of BB cream and she was ready to go.

She left her room and met Scorpius down the stairs of the girl's dormitories. He smiled the moment he saw her.

'You look gorg." he said as he kissed her.

"Thanks, you too." she replied, blushing.

"Shall we?" he stuck his hand for her to take.

"We shall." she smiled

The dance was complete perfection. Rose had never felt this secure until then, she had to look over her shoulder everytime a girl approached Scorpius. None of her ex boyfriends could ever complain that Rose was the jealous kind, but this time she couldn't help herself, she just got an awkward sensation everytime a girl approached like they didn't even deserve to be alive. But not right now. Now she felt more loved than ever. He held her tight by her waist like he didn't want her to ever leave. After the slow song ended, their song "thinking out loud", Scorpius went to get drinks.

"I won't be a minute." He said.
"Okay." She smiled wide.

Violetta Chang approach Rose.

"You're still going out?" She asked Rose.
"Yeah why? Does it bother you that I'm actually happy?" Said Rose in a sassy tone.
Violetta then said, "Oh no. It's just that you should watch the video I posted. It's proof that I wasn't lying."
Rose immediately took her phone out. She looked up Chang's instawiz and watched the video. Rose put her hand on her mouth. She couldn't bare to watch that disgusting video of Scorpius and Violetta shagging. She looked at Scorpius approaching her with the drinks. Her look of utter shock struck him like a storm.

"Whats wrong?" He asked.
"What do you think? You're such an idiot." She screamed, "No, sorry, I'm such an idiot for believing you."
"What are you on about?" He tried to keep her quiet.
"You shagged Chang"
"No I didn't"
"Stop lying. There's proof. I should have trusted my instincts. " She said.
"And broken up with me when the rumors were out?"
"No. Never talked to you in the first place. You don't even care about my feelings, you just dismiss me when you don't need me anymore."
"Oh, so I don't care about your feelings? You didn't care when I told you that I didn't want you to be a champion, you don't even care that you happen to be surrounded by guys everyday, you don't even care when you slut it up online so you have all the attention you want." he said.
"But sleeping with someone else is okay?" Asked Rose sarcastically.
"I didn't." He screamed
"Look at the video. You can see your face in it. Maybe next time you want someone to slit it up with, you should choose Chang."
"Maybe I will and I will real good" he said.

Rose broke down in tears, took her pumps out and broke into a run. She ran as fast as she was capable of going. Scorpius was about to go after her.

"Don't even think of going after her? Don't you think you've done enough damage?" Said Nessa standing in front of him. Sibby quickly tagged along.

"Nessa let me go." He looked around. Shiba looked like he was about to kill him, Stephano was looking utterly disappointed with him and Nessa and Sibby were purely mad.

"You broke Rose."said Sibby.

Meanwhile Rose searched under Nessa's bed. She looked for alcohol, any alcoholic beverage. Something that would make her forget that she ever spoke with Scorpius. When she finally found it. She drowned her sorrows with tears and alcohol. She promised herself change. She promised herself that she wouldn't wait any longer to make her parents proud. She promised and promised until she passed out.

The next day, Rose woke early with a pounding headache, memories of the previous night flooded her mind with bad thoughts, unhealthy, unhappy, bad thoughts.

She quickly ran into the Hall, only Head Boy and Head Girl were there, she took a pancake and went to the library where she managed to get all of her homework done for the next two weeks, maybe three.

As hours went by, more and more people came and went to the library. All of which were surprised to see THE Rose Weasley there. Whispers grew into concrete phrases and sentences making Rose more and more embarassed about the previous night.

Nessa passed a shelf full of books looked around and finally found Rose, "Oh there you are. I've been looking for you everywhere."

She sat down across from Rose, who did not let a single word out of her mouth.

"So about last night, are you good?" continued Nessa, Rose didn't say anything again, "Good, that's cool. I met a few crazy hot Bulgarians and I was thinking.."

Rose interrupted, "I don't care."

"Oh come on, Rose. Scorpius was just some guy."

"No, he wasn't just some guy. And I'm not your supersoldier. I'm not strong and you wanna know why?" she stopped for a second, "because I wasn't prepared to be heartbroken, I didn't know what it was like until this very moment and I'm not ready for this. I can't do this. It hurts and you are to blame. You led me into this idealistic road that You thought was right for me. Well that road left me unprepared for the real deal and look at me, right now. I'm at the library for goodness sake. I wasn't prepared to be broken, because I thought I was made of steel and that was because You made me that way."

Nessa said quietly, "Rose."

"Don't speak to me" Rose sharply said.
