Rose woke up the next morning feeling like her head had been hit with a rock. She sat up and quickly threw herself back down. She rolled to the right, because she slept in the left side of the bed, expecting to crash into Scorpius, but the only thing she crashed with was the bed. She opened her eyes and saw he wasn't there. Maybe he's in a kitchen, Rose thought and tried to get back to sleep, but she couldn't. It was bugging her. What was he doing in the kitchen at 9 in the morning, he used to wake up so much later than her. Rose stood up, put some clothes on and walked towards the stairs in a tired manner.

"Mummy, mummy." Andrew, her 4 year old, shot up the stairs and jumped into Rose's arms.

"Why were you downstairs at this time?" Rose asked rubbing her temples.

Andrew smiled, "I was saying bye-bye to daddy!"

"What?" Rose said.

"Daddy left for work, I was saying bye-bye to him." Andrew repeated.

"But dad doesn't work."

"Sure he does. He works in Australia." said Andrew hugging Rose, "Mummy, I'm sleepy."

"Let's go to my bed and sleep." she took him and tucked him into the bed.

Once he was asleep, Rose stroke his hair for a bit, then she stood and opened Scorpius' wardrobe. Nothing. She looked in his shelfs. Nothing again. She looked at his bedside table, there was a piece of parchement on top of it. Rose picked it up and read it.

"Dear Rosie,

I love you. I really, really do and believe me it's a pain to leave you behind. However it his the best for you. I know you don't tell me this, but I know it's my fault that you can't get a job. I get it, I killed a guy, he deserved it, but apparentely everyone in wizarding England thinks of me as a murderer. So, I decided if I wanted you to get a life I should leave. It's okay, your dignity will remain intact as everyone will believe that you dumped me. I'm also going to get a new job in Australia, by the time you've read this, I'm probably setting up a restaurant with all the recipes you have taught me over the years.

It's hard to leave, especially knowing how young of a child we have, even though the other three can take care of themselves. Nonetheless I am their father and I'll keep sending them money as long as I can. I'll pay for whatever they need, like new books, new clothes, new anything! They are still our children and I love them regardless.

I'll foward money to our bank account too, because not only you need to take care of yourself, but I need to take care of you. It's my duty as your husband. I'm sorry I'm not there personally to say goodbye to you, but I am a coward. I couldn't face you and say I had to leave. I got a target I have to achieve for it to be okay to come back to you. I promise I'll come back when the right moment comes, but for now I need to be here full-time.

I didn't ask you to come with me, because I couldn't just expect you to leave everything behind. Your friends, your family, they're all there. Just being near me would repulse them, and it's better if they think you are done with me. A lot of people would be internally grateful, like your father and Nessa, I guess.

I love you no matter what,

Scorpius."

Rose couldn't help but cry. She was sobbing her heart out. Well, he was right, but it just made her so mad that he left. She believed they could've fight through it, even though it would have been way too hard and they'd end up apart anyway.

"Dad!" Meredith's voice rang through the walls of their bedroom. Rose looked up from the letter as Mer came in, "Mum, where's dad? I got his shirts from the cleaning shop at Diagon Alley."

"Give me that." Rose one of his shirts and her wand and she set his shirt on fire with an Incendio charm and threw out of the balcony onto the pool. She sobbed onto the margin of the balcony.

"What's wrong, mum?" asked Mer.

"He left. He had the balls to leave me right now that I don't have a job." said Rose while crossing her arms.

Meredith wasn't sure what to say, "Did he at least say goodbye?"

"No. Apparently he said goodbye to Drew, but to no-one else. God, he's so selfish."

Meredith picked up the letter, which was now thrown onto the floor, ank skim-read it, "I don't think he was selfish. At least he got a job. It's your turn to get one. Why don't you accept that singing job that that wizarding agency was offering? I heard they want to pay you loads."

Rose sat on the bed next to Mer and put her head on her shoulders, "I haven't sang in years."

"That's not true, I hear you sing to Andrew every night. Besides if dad says he'll come back, he will. Dad keeps his promises. I know that for sure. So are you going to accept it?"

"Meredith, sweetie, you can't compare a lullaby with a song in a concert. I know how electronic music is today, but the music I want to do isn't eletronic at all."

"Please do it." Mer pleaded, "We need to be fed, also I will get so much more famous just by being your daughter."

"Fine, but how do I tell people?"

"I'll take care of that. I'll start by telling Dumb and Dumber upstairs." Mer said stroking her mother's cheek.

"Thank you, Mer." Rose wiped the tears off her face.
