Sawyers POV

So, her name is Maya. I listened carefully to her heartbeat and so far, she wasn't lying. After a while of trying to calm myself down even further I decided to join the others. I had questions of my own that I wanted to ask. And so, I made it just in time for the second question.

"Alright, Maya. What were you doing sneaking through the evidence room?" Aisha asked and she scoffs.

"I could ask you the same thing. What were you doing in the evidence room so late at night?"

"She asked first," I replied catching everyone's attention. "You took Will's files from the evidence room. Why?"

Just then I noticed something faintly glowing from her pocket in her jacket. What in the hell is that? She stared quizzically at me before she traced my stare back to her jacket. I tilted my head sideways, curious to what the hell she has in there. It doesn't sound like a radio. It doesn't smell like something metallic. Trust me you can tell. Plus, it doesn't smell like guns, smoke bomb or that wolfsbane stuff. Only one way to find out what it is. I kneeled down in front of Maya and reached for her pocket.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," she warns me and I pulled my hand back, inches away from her pocket. The glow became brighter and out of instincts I pulled away. Ever since I became a werewolf, my senses heightened to unbelievable new heights. While at the same time I gained this accurate sixth sense for danger. Rather that gut feeling you have when something is wrong, was heightened too. And every inch of my body, down to the last blood cell is warning me to stay away from whatever is causing that glow.

"What the hell is that?" Jesse asked. Aisha narrows her eyes at Maya, before stepping closer.

"I think a know," Aisha replied, holding her hand out as if waiting to receive something. Then the glowing object flew out of Maya's pocket and into Aisha's hand. When she opened up her hand, she revealed a stone with a rune symbol carved unto it. It was the same one we found only the symbol was different. Ours had a circle with triangles poking out of it, but this one had an Ankh symbol.

"It's called a rune stone. They're items designed to aid us in the fight against any supernatural creature. Think of it as a repellent or shield against the supernatural," she explained.

"Wait there's more of these rocks?" Jesse asked and she nodded.

"Interesting but if they act as a repellent or a shield against the supernatural, as you say, then how come Sawyer managed to lay a finger on you?" Jesse asked and I nodded. Good question.

"That's because its not a rune stone for protection. The symbols grants the user an edge against the supernatural. Each symbol with its own sweet bonus. Make no mistake no matter what symbols, the supernatural can't touch the rock. If I were to carve the protection symbol on it, then no supernatural can't even come 7 feet close to me, let alone hurt me."

"What symbol is that one on the rock?" I asked.

"It's an ankh. A symbol for immortality," Jesse answered.

"So, what you're immortal?" Aisha asked and she smirks. "That's impossible."

"Not quite. You see, it doesn't mean I can live forever. It just...grants me immortality against the supernatural. Meaning as long as I have the stone, I can keep coming back to life up to at least 3 times before it loses its power. As long as my death was caused by a supernatural attack. Get it?"

Our eyes widened. That was impressive.

"So, if Sawyer were to kill you, right now, you would just come back to life?" Jesse asked and she nods with a hum.
