Hello, hello, and welcome to a brand new chapter of this book. Also, don't you think it's interesting to see that the second the Doctor stepped out of the door, he got shot and killed when he went to America? Bearing in mind this was WRITTEN by Americans? Yeah, me too. Enjoy!

(And yes, I know it's not ACTUALLY comic con they're at, but I just couldn't resist the title. And, technically, yes, the movie was first shown in Canada but shhhh.)

Doctor's POV

The Tardis landed with a few minutes, and, somehow, through some great miracle, ended up in the right place.

I pet the console and walked out-- or tried to, anyway.
"Doctor! This film is about the 8th you, this you doesn't show up until 2005."

"Right, right, right. So, is there anything I should know? I haven't seen the movie yet, I'm still on 6."
"Not particularly, no. Just do what you think 8 would've done and you'll be fine. Though you'll probably be mobbed for autographs and pictures, maybe even hugs. Just so you know."

With this in mind, I carefully reverted back a few regenerations and opened up the door, taking in the shocked faces.

I waved with a smile.
"Hello, I'm the Doctor! I just thought I'd check in and see how you all are doing."

Security guards put their hands on their guns and I scoffed.
"Figures, doesn't it? First time in America, and I get shot at immediately. I wonder why." They paused, hesitated.

"You know what? Take my pulse. If I'm the real Doctor, it'll be twice as fast as you humans. If not, feel free to shoot me if you want to. Sound fair?"

Paul McGann, the guy who I'm guessing played me, judging by his appearance, just stared on with shock, until one of the staff members roughly grabbed my wrist and placed two fingers on it.

"Believe me now?"
"But-- no, it- how-"
"Yes, yes, yes I know. I'm 'fictional,'" I told him, using air quotes, "yeah, I'm not actually. I was just hanging around the mid-90's and decided to drop by. Hogwarts is nice 'n' all, but it's still school."

He was still stumbling over his words when McGann himself stepped forward, hand out. I shook it with a grin.

"I haven't actually seen the movie yet, but from what I've heard from a friend of mine, you did well, and that's a massive compliment coming from him."
"Well, I'm glad to hear that," he chuckled. The guy had a nice voice, no wonder why they cast him.
"So you're the real deal are you?"
"The original, you might say," I smirked, "oh, and don't worry, the TV show is coming back--" some people cheered, "...in 2005."

They all groaned, disappointed.
"Hey, don't worry guys, you still get some great comics and novels, especially audio stories, too, even if some of it isn't 100% accurate."

A guard peered into my Tardis, then gasped.
"Bigger on the inside!" I grinned.

The paparazzi was already swarming in, cameras flashing, microphones in my face.
"Woah, woah, woah now! One at a time, please! I can't hold up three different conversations at once!"

Everyone paused for a moment before resuming, and the Master took that opportunity to have his fun.

The lights went out and the Master stepped out of the Tardis, outfit and all.

"Hello, humans."
"Ah, the Master! Curious yourself, I guess?"
He chuckled, and the lights came back.

Squinting at the sudden light, the two main actors (McGann and, what was his name? Eric Roberts, I think) could only watch as their two characters came to life before their eyes.
