So there is an old friend of mine who hangs out at the car track. The name is Risky. The money that you should carry right now is a part of our bet. Risky holds the next letter and honestly, I would get to them before they make an idiotic bet. They should expect you there tonight, to make the bet. No matter how much they tried to persuade you to bet on someone else, stay with contender twelve. Don't think about anyone else, whether they are the fastest or the richest, CONTENDER TWELVE.
Zela looked at the address and the money as she took a nervous breath, reading it all over again. This was really new to Zela. It was like someone came in and just rearranged her entire life in a blink of an eye.
After taking out all the money in the safe deposit box, she was expecting something easier, like getting the direct address to her parents instead.
"What's a car track?" She said to herself as Kane looked over at her as she sat there so deep in thought.
Kane thought that this unexpected scavenger hunt that Zela accepted was not right, not now at the most part. As if the target on her back wasn't big enough, the money that she was holding made her way bigger. The way she was so invested into the letter just showed that she wasn't going to stop looking for whatever she was looking for. But under his watch, he was going to have to control it. With so much money she got, he had the smallest hunch that this was going to be something dangerous in the long run.
"People take their personal cars and race for money. Your letter telling you to go there?" He asked as she stayed quiet, clutching her bag closer to her.
He scoffed, shaking his head as he pulled into the club parking lot parking next to the unfamiliar red Mercedes parked in his usual spot.
"Why the hell is my best friend here?" Zela asked as she hopped out of the car with her backpack in tow as she surveyed the car once again, making sure that it was Ericka's Mercedes.
Kane didn't care who it was, he was just upset that they were in his space.
He casually walked over to the entrance as Zela trailed behind, entering inside the club. It was clean and pristine, just like how Kane liked it in the after hours. He really put a lot into this business, although his name wasn't on it legally, he made sure that everything was handled in a timed manner. What was just an idea for a small bar became an extensive project for one of the top clubs in Miami-Dade.
Zela looked over as Ericka and Niko sat at the bar with Starbucks in hand as they both focused into the small talk they were having, barely noticing the two walk in.
"Niko, what's up?" Kane asked, making him look up to see Kane's puzzled face on the girl who's eyes lit up once seeing Zela.
"God, you are okay! I thought the cops got you or something." Ericka quickly spoke as she ran over giving Zela the tightest hug ever.
