Kane paced back and forth in front of the restaurant as his brain tried to rattle what just went on. Whether it was him almost getting into a fight or worse or his own father walking into the same establishment protecting Zela. He honestly didn't want to see his father, nor was he ready to talk to him.
Zela sat on the bench as she just watched Kane circle around like a madman. She didn't have a single clue what exactly was going on but just from Marshall's pop up and Jessiah's question about her necklace made her assume that it had something to do with her father. She just couldn't figure out why Kane looked more upset than she did.
"Can't believe this lil fucka man," Marshall scoffed as he lightly skipped down the steps.
Zela watched both Marshall and Kane as they both stood in place as they watched every person pass by quickly eyeing each person before slowly eyeing over the next. She saw the similarities between the two but didn't want to make a decision right then and there.
Marshall's phone rang as he saw Wood's name immediately making him answer as he glanced at both Zela and Kane trying to wonder why they were there and why together.
"Man, what the fuck you got me into?" He gritted into the phone, turning away from the pair.
"Yeah, I saw what happened. I'm trying to figure out why your son got around my daughter." He answered cooly making Marshall pause looking into the phone.
Wood didn't feel the need again to put himself into the father son drama, leaving it to him to figure out himself. The only person he cared about was his daughter.
Zela watched Kane as he walked off down the sidewalk, instantly making her stand up walking towards a hot-headed Marshall.
"Why the fuck you not gonna tell me about my son?" he grumbled into the phone as he flicked off the ash from his cigarette and spitted into the nearby bush.
"Cause that aint my fucking place man you know that. What did you tell me when you heard his name buzzing in the streets?" He asked.
"Um Marshall, I'm leaving with Kane." Zela spoke as Wood froze hearing the angelic voice making a smile creep on his lips.
"Why? He'll be fine. He needs to think about what the fuck he just did. You know what could've happened if..."
"I know," She looked back watching as Kane strolled the sidewalk watching his shoulders fall, "I'll be fine. If you want to follow me, just do it from a far, far distance." She spoke as she slightly jogged in her heels, trying to catch up to Kane.
Marshall watched as he briefly scoffed, then chuckled amazed at her who chased after his hard-headed ass son. Wood just stood there in a full-blown grin, just amazed that he got to hear his daughter's voice after so many long years.
Kane instantly became annoyed as all he heard was the clicking of Zela's heels disturbing him from the meditation that he was trying to put himself on at the moment.
