Six thirty am. It was the same time Zela woke up every day for the past three days. At six thirty her eyes would shoot up and she was completely energized. Zela never considered herself to wake up that early. Usually she would be up at eight am on weekdays and would sleep in till ten am on the weekends. But these few days were different, she would constantly wake up, take a shower, change into some sweats and a tank top then sit criss cross on her bed enjoying a morning blunt preparing herself for another day of being locked in the house.
Zela wished she wasn't even here at the moment but she was accepting it, it happened for a reason.
She took a hit of her joint as she looked out the window, bobbing her head to Sir "John Redcorn" as the smooth bass vibrated down her skin. She exhaled slowly, laying down on the bed and watched as she watched the smoke sway out of the window where she kept it cracked.
She grabbed her phone scrolling through her recent messages seeing that Risky hasn't returned her calls or texts. She was worried and definitely felt like something went wrong for her not to even get back in contact with Zela. She didn't want to lose the opportunity to meet her father, but the longer she couldn't hear from Risky the more difficult she would even see him.
"Man, fuck that! Run it back, Stop playing this slow jam shit too, fucking up my game!" She heard a voice that made her straighten up in her bed.
She was already accustomed to Hondo, Kane, and even Niko's voice when he came over. She witnessed no one else in the home since the day she got there.
She slid off her bed, grabbing her joint and walked out into the hallway as the music grew louder.
"Come on man, at least play some Kodak or some shit." The voice shouted as she reached the end of the hallway, already feeling his eyes turn to her.
He sat in the living room in a bright red robe as Cookie snuggled under him while he played video games with the unknown white boy who sat next to him as his face turned a cherry red.
"Touchdown nigga wassup!" Sleep shouted, taking Hondo out of his stare from Zela as he glanced at his excited friend who scored on him while he stared at Zela who bypassed them heading straight for the kitchen.
