Josh's POV

I dial her number. I want to meet her again today. She's so stunning and funny and god, I can't stop thinking about her. I've only known her for three days but I can feel myself catching feelings already. Damn.

Even though its 9 in the morning I don't hang up. Maybe she's already awake who knows.

"Hello?", she asks silently. Fuck I woke her up. "Hey Madison! Did I wake you?". "Yeah but its fine". "Oh my god sorry you can continue sleeping if you want". She giggles. "No, its perfectly fine Joshua! Do you wanna meet up today?". "Well that's exactly what I wanted to ask. I can come and pick you up at 10". "Uhm okay... I'm gonna write a note for Dan and Phil and get ready. See ya!". And the line is dead.

Madison's POV

I sneak into Dan's apartment and grab a small piece of paper.
I'm at Josh's. I don't know when I'll come back but if there's something important you can call me :) -Maddy

Then I get ready. I jump into the shower, blow dry my hair and choose a cute outfit. Hahah who am I kidding; Blink-182 shirt, skinnies and Vans. Then I walk outside the house and wait.

After 2 minutes I can see him driving through the street and he stops right in front of me. He pushes the door open and I sit down next to him. He smiles. "Hi!". "Heyo!". We sit there in silence the whole drive and that makes me think. I didn't get my driver licence yet, and I don't even have a job. My life depends on Dan and Josh, and I don't like that. I would like to be independent. I should go and find a job anytime soon. Josh seems to have noticed my worried expression because he asks: "what wrong?". "Nothing, just worried a little bit". "Aw, why's that?". "I need to get a job". "Well that's easy. You're intelligent and cute, all doors are open for you". "Haha nah, I'm actually really dumb and not cute at all. I really need to impress some people", I sigh. "You already impressed me, won't be that hard then". I'm confused. "What do you mean I impressed you?". "You're such a nice person and you're stunning! you shouldn't even ask such questions! Being insecure when looking and acting like you.. That's dumb". I laugh. "You're too cute".

As we arrive at his house he jumps up and opens my door. "Good to know there are still some gentlemen out there", I chuckle. We turn around only to see someone standing in front of Josh's door already. I look at the girl and I suddenly realize who she is. The girl from where I met Josh. "Abigail? What are you doing here?". Josh looks pissed. "We need to talk", she snaps. "Oh no, we don't. Go back to Alan, and leave me alone". "Me and Alan are over". "Do I look like I care? Now leave, princess". "I'm not going anywhere until you take me back". Damn she seems to be arrogant as hell. I kind of just hide behind Josh and listen. "I don't want to take you back. I won't and I can't". "Haha, what's holding you back honey?". He grabs my arm and pushes me forward. He then lays his arm around my shoulder and says: "She's holding me back". Abigail's facial expression changes. She looks like she's going to punch me in the face right now and I'm pretty scared for my life. "Oh really!? We haven't seen each other for not even a week and you're fucking someone else already? Joshua you disgust me". "I'm not 'fucking someone else'". He raises his voice. "Now fucking leave!". "No". He sighs. "Fine. Do whatever you want". She smirks and walks over to me and Josh. "Now to you. Dont you dare..". She lifts my chin up so I have to look into her eyes. "...to even touch him I swear I'm going to..". She can't finish her sentence because Josh is pushing her away from me. "No don't YOU dare to fucking come to my house EVER again! We're done! Accept it! Get over it!". With that he grabs my hand, opens the door and storms into the house. He quickly closes the door behind us. He smashes his fist against the wall and leans onto it. "That girl, I swear. She's driving me insane", he says, lowering his voice again. I still stand there with a shocked expression on my face. "I'm sorry", Josh says and wraps me into his arms. "Sorry for scaring her. She's just...". His voice cracks and everything's silent. "Shhh, it's okay. Let's sit down and you'll tell me about everything, alright?". He nods and smiles weakly. We sit down on the couch and he starts to tell me about everything. About how she cheated on him multiple times. About how he forgave her every time. He tells me the whole story in every detail and it actually makes me cry. He explains the feelings he had for her and he tells me about how blind love has made him. I feel so sorry for him. I've never had a proper boyfriend so I've never experienced it and to be honest? After what Josh told me I'm lucky I didn't. "Its all gonna be alright. I'm here for you. Even though I don't really like the idea of her thinking that I'm your girlfriend because she's going to murder me", I say making him laugh. "You haven't told me your story yet", Josh says. I stay silent and stare at the wall. "You don't have to tell me. Not yet. 8'm just curios". "I... I don't think I can tell you. Its way too depressing". "Is your current story still depressing?". I don't answer. I don't really know. It's kind of like a bipolar thing. When I'm with Dan, Phil or Josh everything's alright. But when I'm on my own I feel empty. I feel as if I was in our basement waiting for my dad to go away. It feels like I'm under pressure.

Josh wipes a tear from my cheek. "Don't cry, I'm gonna cry too". "My life is so depressing. But I'm here to leave it behind. I'm here to start over. So please let's not talk about my past", I chuckle and Josh just smiles at me.

You make me really happy, I don't know why. Maybe because you're so beautiful". I blush. Suddenly the bell rings. Josh jumps up and opens it and oh look. It's his band mates. All of them. I can already feel my anxiety rising up.
