Six- Finding out

ELEVEN
I woke up kinda late this morning. I heard that Mike was in the kitchen, so I got up and walked out to him.

"Morning honey. Nice sleep?" Mike asked as he made breakfast.

"More or less..." I said sitting down.

"Why are you all dressed up?" I asked as Mike put my food in front of me.

"Oh, I'm starting at Hawkins Middle today...remember?" Mike asked as he sat down next to me.

"Oh...right. Sorry..." I said eating. Mike had convinced Principal Coleman to let him work there since he 'wants to continue Mr. Clarke's legacy'. Mr. Clarke retired a few years ago and Mike wanted to fill his spot. Luckily Mike is very persuasive and he got the job teaching Science. As for me...I got the job at Melvalds since I knew Joyce when she worked there. I've had the week off since Melvalds is under inspection.

"Oh, before I forget...Max and I are having a girls day..." I said as I smiled.

"Well...I hope you have a great day. I have to go. I'll see you tonight..." Mike said as he kissed my forehead.

"Hopefully I have a great day..." I whispered to myself.

I got ready for my day and I grabbed the notes I made last night.

Max arrived and we made our way to the rebuilt Starcourt Mall. We spent the next 3 hours shopping.

"It's time..." Max said as we walked into the chemist. She grabbed the test and we made our way out of the mall. She drove us to her place and I rushed inside.

"Where's Lucas?" I asked.

"He took Eleanor to the park an hour ago." Max said.

"I don't want to do this Max..." I said as my hands shook.

"You need to El..." Max said pushing me into the bathroom.

I locked the door and I took the test out of the packaging.

"Max...I can't do this..." I said as my voice started to shake.

"El...you better do it or I'll call Mike and I'll make you do this in front of him." Max said.

I followed the instructions on the test. Once I was done, I left the test on the counter.

"I did it..." I said, my voice still shaking.

I sat on the toilet, waiting for the test results. I closed my eyes and I felt a tear slip. 5 minutes later and I opened my eyes.

"El...let me in...are you ok?" Max asked. I unlocked the door and I let Max in.

"El...what does it say?" Max asked.

I picked up the test and held it toward me. I looked down at the positive symbol.

Damn...

"El...you're freaking me out...just tell me..." Max said.

"I'm pregnant..." I said as quietly as possible.

"What?" Max asked.

"I'm pregnant..." I spoke louder.

I looked at the test and looked up. A tear slipped and I dropped the test.

"El?" Max asked. I fell to the floor and I hit my head. My eyes were open for a second and all I could see was Max holding my head.

"El!" Max shouted. My eyes closed and all I could see was darkness.

MIKE
I'm really loving my new job. I was halfway through teaching a science lesson. I saw a group of 4 students who reminded him of his friends when they were young. He looked over at the door when he heard a knock.

"Mr. Wheeler?" The lady asked.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Mr. Coleman wants to see you..." The lady said leaving.

"Ok everyone, just read chapters 1 and 2 and answer the questions on page 25." I said before I left the room.

I walked to Mr. Colemans office.

"Mike Wheeler..." Mr. Coleman said.

"Mr. Coleman..." I said sitting down.

"The hospital called. They wanted me to let you know that your wife El Wheeler was admitted to the hospital 10 minutes ago. Don't worry, I will have one of our other teachers take over your class.." Mr. Coleman said.

"Thank you so much!" I said before I ran out of the classroom. I ran to my office, grabbed my bag and ran. I ran to my car, and made my way to the hospital.

ELEVEN (As Mike)
I walk around in the perspective of Mike.

"ELEVEN?!" I yell as I walk around the deserted lab. I hear a noise in the room right across form me so I walk toward it. I hear yelling so I bust open the door. I see a Russian man holding a knife to El's throat. Before I could stop him, he slits El's throat, leaving her to bleed out.

"ELEVEN!" I shout as I run to her.

I jolt up, sweating like crazy.

"Eleven...you're awake..." Max said as she walked over to me. I start to cry and Max hugs me.

5 minutes later, Mike bursts through the door and runs over to me.

"Eleven?! What happened?" Mike asked, seeming really worried.

"S-She fell accidentally..." Max said.

Mike and I went home, with Mike taking care of me, completely unaware that he is taking care of me and our baby.

Hours later, after vomiting a lot, Mike and I went to bed, with me barely eating anything.
