ELEVEN
I only have 2 weeks until I'm giving birth. Mike and I have finished the nursery, we have my hospital bag ready and now, we just have to wait. I've been instructed to stay home and rest.

"Hey baby...I brought some orange juice..." Mike said as he smiled.

I was also instructed to drink orange juice since it would make our baby more energetic.

"T-Thanks..." I said as I yawned. I had become more and more tired as we got closer to the due date.

I had a sip of the orange juice and before long, our baby was kicking like crazy.

"Why don't you sleep and I'll clean the house for you?" Mike asked.

I nodded. Mike left the room and I closed my eyes.

My eyes opened to see a pitch black dark room. I-I'm in the void again. I see a man holding a baby. As I walk closer to him, I notice that it's Mike. He's looking at something emotionless.

"Mike?" I speak. All of a sudden, Mike starts to cry. I'm confused as to what he is looking at.

"Mike? What's wrong?" I asked as I got closer. He didn't say a word. I eventually stood beside him and my heart dropped when I saw what he was looking at.

All of a sudden, Mike, the baby and the tombstone disappear.

"NO!" I scream, not believing what the grave said.

I jolted up.

"MIKE!" I screamed. Mike rushed into the room and ran straight over to me. He comforted me as I sat there crying. I told him what I dreamed about and he told me that everything was going to be ok.

(1 Week later)

I now only have 1 week left until my baby is born.

All of a sudden, Mike, the baby and the tombstone disappear.

"NO!" I scream, not believing what the grave said.

I jolt up once again, after the same nightmare. But this time...something was different. As I sat up, I felt something cold near my legs. I had water before I fell asleep so I must have peed myself. When I took the covers off of me, I saw a massive stain right were my legs were. I looked over at the time. "5:30 am...great".

"M-Mike..." I said, my voice beginning to shake.

Mike sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"What is it honey?" He asked, genuinely concerned. He had never tried to show me attitude.

All of a sudden, I felt a wave of pain.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed. Mike knew immediately what was going on so he grabbed my dressing gown, my shoes, a pillow and a squeezy ball. He walked me slowly to my car and opened the boot. I got in, laying down as to not hurt myself. He came back 2 minutes later with the hospital bag.

(At hospital)
We had just signed in and we were going to a birthing suite. Mike put the bags down while I was being rushed into the room. They got me onto the bed and started hooking me up to the machines. After 15 minutes, they had hooked me up and put some painkillers into my tube.

"Hey...baby..." Mike said as he smiled.

"H-Hey..." I said. I felt another wave of pain, but it wasn't as bad.

(10 Hours later)
It was now 4 pm and I still hadn't given birth...but I felt something.

"You're ready to start!" The nurse said.

After 5 minutes of pushing and pain, I heard a cry. I looked up as I saw my baby boy being held by nurses. They handed him over to me and I cried as I saw him.

"Do you have a name?" The nurse asked.

"Yep. Jake Michael Wheeler." Mike spoke. The lady walked out of the room and returned back 15 minutes later with the birth certificate. Mike put it next to the bed. A nurse came over to me and gently took the baby out of my hands.

"We are just gonna get him cleaned off." The nurse said as she took him to the other side of the room. I watched as they washed and dried my baby.

"Y-You did amazing honey." Mike said.

"He is 7 pounds..." The lady said.

"You two are very lucky parents..." The nurse spoke as she handed me the baby.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well. It's very unusual for a baby born early to weigh so much. Early born babies usually weigh under 6 pounds...but your baby weighed more. 7 pound babies usually occur when the baby is born a couple of days after the due date." The nurse said.

The nurse left the room while Mike and I stayed and held our baby.

"Hey baby Jake." Mike said as he kissed his forehead.

"Welcome to your new family..." I said.
