Seven- Confirmations and suspitions

MIKE
El has been acting weirdly for the past 7 hours. She hasn't eaten and she's vomiting more.

"Hey babe? Are you ok?" I asked as I knocked on the bathroom door. I could hear the toilet flush, so I'm assuming that she had just finished vomiting.

"Yeah...I'm fine." She said as she unlocked at opened the door. On the bright side, El doesn't have as many nightmares as she did.

"Can I make you anything to eat?" I asked putting my hands around her waist.

"Nah...not hungry..." She said as she walked over to the phone. I secretly listened.

"Hey Max...it's me...El," I could hear. Unfortunately, I can't hear what Max is saying.

"Max...like you said...if it turned out that I was...and I am, then I should tell him when I am ready." I heard El say concernedly.

"I understand...but I can't drop this bomb on him. Mike is already concerned about me experiencing too many physical/non physical nightmares...I don't want to worry him with this. I mean...what happens if he freaks out?!" El said scared.

So...El knows something and she won't say anything since she's afraid of me becoming too concerned.

When Mike wasn't looking, I picked up the phone and dialled Max's number.

"Hey Max...it's me El." I said.

"Hey El. Have you told Mike yet?" Max said.

"Max...like you said...if it turned out that I was...and I am, then I should tell him when I am ready." I said feeling very concerned.

"Mike would be so upset if you kept this from him..." Max said trying to reason.

"I understand...but I can't drop this bomb on him. Mike is already concerned about me experiencing too many physical/non physical nightmares...I don't want to worry him with this. I mean...what happens if he freaks out?!" I said scared.

MIKE
El left the house shortly after, grabbing a note from her pocket. I called Lucas. He came over, bringing Eleanor.

"So? What's up?" Lucas asked as he sat on the couch.

"El called Max this morning..." I said sitting next to Lucas.

"And?" Lucas asked confused.

"Listen. I heard El talk to Max about some sort of secret. Has Max said anything?" I asked.

"Nope." Lucas said shrugging his shoulders.

"El has been vomiting more often and she barely eats. Her nightmares are occasional..." I said thinking of anything.

"Have you ever though that El might be pregnant?" Lucas asked blatantly.

"What? No..." Mike said shocked.

"When Max was pregnant, she rarely ate and she'd always vomit..." Lucas said.

"El would tell me if she was...wouldn't she?" I asked.

"Well...one phrase that you and El shared was...Friends don't lie..." Lucas said.

"Why wouldn't she tell me?" I asked, confused.

"Maybe she's scared?" Lucas said.

"What did El say to Max about the secret?" Lucas asked.

"She said that she couldn't drop a bomb on me, she doesn't want to worry me with it and what if I freaked out..." I said repeating what El said.

"Have you and El tried for a baby?" Lucas asked.

"Well...we tried for months...but the tests turned out negative and we tried 2 weeks ago..." I said.

"Did she do a test?" Lucas asked.

"I-I don't know...maybe. If she did she certainly didn't do it around me..." I said.

Max and I went to the doctor, to confirm.

"Mrs. Wheeler?" My doctor said.

I followed her with Max following me.

"So why are you here?" The doctor asked.

"I took a pregnancy test yesterday...and I wanna confirm..." I said nervously.

"Ok. Drink some water and pee into this cup." The doctor said. I followed her instructions. She got out a stick type thing.

"Pink for pregnant." The doctor said as she stuck the stick into the cup. When she pulled it out, the end was pink.

"Congrats. I can confirm that you are pregnant. My assistant will mail you some more details for you about your pregnancy such as recommended food intake and different stages..." The doctor said as we all stood up. Max and I left, with her driving me home.

"Huh...Lucas is here..." Max said as we pulled up. Max and I walked in.

"Lucas? What are you doing here?" Max asked.

"Oh hey Max. Eleanor and I are just here to hang out with Mike..." Lucas said looking suspiciously at me.

Max and I went into the bedroom.

"So...I am pregnant. I don't know how I'm gonna tell him." I said nervously.

"Well. Like we both have mentioned, you don't have to tell him until you are ready..." Max said sitting down with me. I gave her a hug and she smiled.

"I can't believe that in 9 months Mike and I will have a little boy or girl in our life..." I said holding my stomach.

MIKE
Max and El went into the bedroom so Lucas and I went to listen. Unfortunately, Lucas and I missed some of the conversation.

"Well. Like we both have mentioned, you don't have to tell him until you are ready..." Max said.

"She's definitely pregnant!" Lucas whispered to me.

"Lucas! I just missed the end of the conversation!" I said pushing him. We walked over to the couch.

"I'm telling you dude! She's pregnant." Lucas said certain.

"She's not Lucas. She would have told me by now if she was. Friends don't lie. Especially not Eleven..." I said disbelieving Lucas.
