Chapter 6: Entering the Underworld

The following morning

After the loss of (F/N) to his dimensional pocket the Gusion peerage decides to have Irina and Ravel serve as co-leaders for the time being. Preparations are made to travel to the Underworld entering through the Gusion domain.

Sirzechs: "Are you sure that you can get us there?"

Ravel: "Relax I know how to teleport us into the Gusion domain no problem. The issue is I am not sure when the poisonous air starts and stops, so we will need to move quickly."

Rias: "It would have been nice if (F/N) could have shared that piece of information, instead of keeping it to himself."

Irina: "I don't think that (F/N) even knows exactly the timing. The difference is he could momentarily protect you from the poison if need be."

Rias: "It doesn't really matter now what he was planning on doing. He is not here anymore."

Sirzechs: "Regardless of all of that, we need to leave this forest as quickly as we can. I am sure that the enemy will be closing in on us quickly."

Ravel: "Agreed. I think it is best I send several peerage members first to check if the poison is out or not. As soon as it is clear we will send all the others."

Akeno: "That seems reasonable enough."

Ajuka: "Are we still going to be able to get in the vault like (F/N) was planning on us doing? I am not sure if it can be opened by any one other than him."

Irina: "(F/N) sent special orders ahead to allow his peerage members into the vault at least temporarily. We have permission to remove certain items and other items we were told we could not even mention that they were in there. One of the animals in the domain is waiting at the vault to help us and inform us what we can and cannot take/tell you about."

Rias: "Oh so even in death (F/N) is trying to hide things from us."

Irina, Lint, Koneko, Mia, Ravel: "He is not dead! He will be back soon enough!"

Rias: "You girls really just need to accept it already."

Irina: "Like you have accepted Issei's death?"

Rias: "Don't you dare bring him up. It is all of your faults that he is gone."

Sirzechs: "Enough of this. You all need to learn to get along. We all have to work together if we are going to succeed, so stop your fighting and focus."

Ravel: "I am going to send Leon and Murayama first."

Ravel opens a teleportation circle and sends Leon and Murayama in. Several minutes later through one of the Hellhounds serving them, they receive a message that it is safe for them to all enter the region for the time being. Ravel begins to teleport them in one by one. Eventually they are all within the Gusion domain. Ravel says, "I forgot how beautiful this place is." "Beautiful, and one of the most dangerous places in existence," Sirzechs adds.

Once they are all there, the groups split up. Those that are Gusions head toward the castle to go and check in the vault, while everyone else heads to the edge of the domain to leave it and find a foothold in the neighboring territory. "Are you sure that none of the animal guards here are going to give us any trouble? Aika asks. They all seem to be staring at us. Irina responds, "As you can here with us you should be fine, since we are all members of the Gusion peerage." The Gremorys are not particularly convinced, and decide to leave as fast as they can. They head toward the nearest border to try and find land that they can occupy for the time being.

While the Gremory peerage, along with the devil kings and Sirzechs' family all head to leave the territory, the Gusions head toward the castle. Once there they are greeted by Ralitic. "It has been a long time," he booms. Lint says, "Wow so there is a talking lion here. That is awesome.' Ralitic laughs, "You must be new. All of the animals within Lord Gusion's domain can talk. Where is he by the way, I was looking forward to seeing him?" Irina starts to tear up, while Ravel answers, "He overextended himself in a battle against a Norse god. As a result he was sort of sucked into his dimensional pocket. He is not dead, but we have no idea when or if he can get out." Ralitic says, "You are sure that he is still alive though." Irina responds, "He is still very much alive. I think he is probably just going to need some time to recover and then he will appear when he has." Ralitic responds, "It is unfortunate that I will not be able to see him. However, he is strong so I am sure that he will be fine. Of course to him all of you are family, so let me know if you need anything." Murayama says, "Actually we need to go look in the vault. (F/N) told us we had permission to collect several items out of it to help in the battle to overthrow Hades." Ralitic says, "There is already an owl waiting for you. I have to say many of those items are very powerful, I hope you are all ready to use them." Ravel comments, "Without a lot of power we are going to end up dead, so we need them."
