Chapter 11: Marching on Lilith

Shortly following the battle against the House of Belial a count of the casualties was made. In total there were 623 casualties from the forces that Sirzechs had brought to aid along with over two thousands deaths from the Phenex forces. The Belial forces lost three thousand five hundred men. The remaining survivors all joined the forces on Sirzechs command. Among the fallen were Siris, Karlamine, Isabela, Ile, Marion, Burent, and Mira from the peerage of Riser. Sairaorg lost Coriana and Liban from his peerage. None of the members of Rias's peerage or the Gusions died during the battle. After determining the casualties the survivors quickly travel to the castle remains to decide their next course of action.

Sirzechs: "That was a hard fought victory, but we have managed to defeat another of the houses that has defected. We have also gotten ever closer to Lilith."

Ajuka: "It is unfortunate that so many had to die in this battle. However, we have gained more allies than we have lost."

Rias: "Now we can prepare to march on Lilith. With the forces we have left along with the newly recruited Belial forces and the aid that will surely come from Glasya-Labolas we will be able to take Lilith."

Riser: "Don't be so sure. Riser thinks that Hades will be more than prepared for you all. Riser personally will not be going along on your little suicide mission. I have work to do to restore this castle for my women."

Rias: "You pig. Are you really going to just stay here and have fun while we go and finish this battle that has been going on?"

Riser: "Riser sees no need to help you. Riser merely helped in the last battle so he could gain control of the castle back."

Sirzechs: "That is disappointing. However, the choice is yours to make, I will not stop you."

Rias: "I cannot believe you are such a coward."

Ravel: "To be honest this doesn't surprise me. I kind of figured you would back down when we got to this point. Anyway make sure you don't besmirch the Phenex name too much with all your messing around."

Riser: "Riser could never do that. Riser simply is looking for some entertainment to help alleviate all the stress of this blasted war."

Before the conversation can continue any further a messenger arrives with news of what has been happening in the other domains.

Messenger: "I bring news from the Astorath and Glasya-Labolas domains. As of now the Glasya-Labolas domain is under siege by a force of devils under control of the Agares family. In these forces are devils from many of the devil families that have chosen not to support us. The Astorath domain is currently under attack from the Amon family and their army. While neither the Astorath nor the Glasya-Labolas domains are in much danger of falling they will not be able to provide us with reinforcements."

Rias: "So we are on our own then. It would seem that we are going to be in for a harder fight than I was originally expecting."

Sirzechs: "Worry not, we will still win. My whole peerage is gathering as we speak to aid us in the battle for Lilith. I am sure that it will be a costly one, but we will be triumphant."

Sairaorg: "Well this is a rarity. I will have the chance to fight alongside the strongest peerage in the Underworld. They almost never gather let alone fight together."

Sirzechs: "Yes well it is a necessity that we be ready with our full force in order to combat the enemy. It would be unwise for us to underestimate Hades. That is why he was able to take over the Underworld in the first place."

Ajuka: "That being said I am still not positive that we have the forces that will be needed for us to take Lilith. I am sure that many of the remaining devil families are waiting there along with grim reapers in the service of Hades."
