The War of the Underworld (Male Reader x High School DxD) Volume 3

Chapter 10: Revenge

The group of devils are located on a wide open plain in Phenex territory. It has been 3 days since the news of Ruval's death has come.

Messenger: "I have located Lord Riser and his army. They are currently marching against the Belial forces that have been stationed at Phenex castle."

Ravel: "That idiot. He does not have the forces to lay siege to our own family castle."

Sirzechs: "How far are we from the castle at this time?"

Ravel: "I would guess that if we travel most of the day we could arrive there early tomorrow morning."

Hearing this Sirzechs orders the men to begin to move out as they prepare to march toward Phenex castle as quickly as they can. In total the army that Sirzechs and company now possess is roughly one thousand men in number as compared to the five thousand that the Belial family is supposed to have in the territory. Knowing that they are vastly outnumbered, Sirzechs and Ajuka want to arrive at the castle before a large battle can take place, so they can regroup with the Phenex forces.

Sirzechs: "I don't know that we are going to be able to pull this one off. Riser and his hot head have made this much more challenging."

Ajuka: "I agree. Our chances are not looking good. However, I cannot say that we ever had a very good chance in this whole war for the Underworld."
Sirzechs laughing: "Oh so you have never had faith we could win."
Ajuka: "To be honest it has been a long shot from the beginning. However, it is currently our best option to prevent the Khaos Union from getting even stronger.

Sirzechs: "I agree that we are pushing our luck. However, I don't think the real challenge will start until we get to Lilith. I imagine that Hades will just wait there with the majority of his forces."

Ajuka: "You are right. My guess is he will use the devil families that have joined him to wear us down and then finish us himself. This however could be very costly to him as we could potentially gain more and more allies as we win more battles."

Sirzechs: "Well we better keep pushing forward and winning battles then."

The following morning at Phenex Castle

When the group arrives at Phenex Castle they see that it is in shambles. The forces of the Belial family are by and large outside on the grounds surrounding the castle since not much of the castle remains. The army with the Gremorys enters the fight as quickly as they arrive. With the added forces of the Gremorys the Phenex army is able to push the Belial army back for the time being. As the battle continues to rage outside Ravel, Sirzechs, and Rias go to the Phenex camp to meet with Riser.

Sirzechs: "I see that you are actually doing rather well. I never expected to find the Phenex castle essentially destroyed when we arrived.

Riser: "That was Ruval's doing. He had Yubelluna set up bombs all over the castle during the last battle we had here in case we needed to retreat. When we did retreat Yubelluna made the castle explode."

Sirzechs: "That was clever thinking on Ruval's part. It makes it much easier for us to engage the enemy when we don't have to lay a siege like this."

Riser: "Well it was impressive, Riser is going to make sure that the Belials are all wiped out and rebuild this as my own personal hotel for women."

Ravel: "What did you just say? This is our home and you want to turn it into a whore house."

Riser: "Oh sister, Riser did not see you there. Since it is only the two of us left and you live with that Gusion guy, Riser figured it was his house to do as he pleases with. Where is Gusion anyway I have been meaning to talk to him?"
