DESPITE HAVING DRIVEN
for many years now, Tanaka Saeko's driving never changed. Although Tanaka was originally supposed to drive, his older sister refused, stating that Ryu was the slowest driver she had ever met. Tsukishima wasn't surprised, responding how she probably traumatized him so much that he chose to drive slow. The blonde agreed, laughing.

So here they were. 'Were' being, Ryu, Saeko, Tsukishima, Nishinoya (who was currently visiting from Thailand for the boys' graduation), Kageyama, and Hinata. The freakish duo had found out through Yamaguchi and had nothing better to do, so they hopped on as well.

Usually, Tsukishima would've been extremely bothered but the boy was way too occupied thinking about how they might end up getting there a little too late. He still had so much he wanted to say.

"Say, Tsukishima-san, since when do you have a girlfriend?!"

This piped the other boys attention as they nodded curiously at the woman's question.

"Yeah yeah! What about the other girl? How many girlfriends do you have?!!" Hinata exclaimed, muttering quickly after how it really wasn't fair how someone as stingy as him could even get one.

The redhead's exclaimation fully grabbed the attention of their senpais, resulting in them gasping in shock.

"How dare you two-time you stingy bastard!!! That is not manly of you at all!"

"I'm calling Suga-san! He's going to be very disappointed in you!"

The megane turned around and threw a book from the front seat at the short boy, growing irritated with him very quickly.

Hinata yelped, letting out a cry and rubbing his now red forehead.

"I do not have two girlfriends nor have I been two-timing," the blond assured them, although they were not very convinced which caused him to sigh.

"Tell us everything, Tsukki-kun, we have two hours left."

Tsukishima sighed. It was going to be a long car ride.

As they neared the airport, Kei grew anxious and the rest of the lot- excited. After hearing all about their epic love story, they were desperate to even see the girl who Tsukishima had miraculously fallen in love with.

"Yamaguchi told us there's only one flight to America that's flying out at 6:00 AM so, it shouldn't be too hard to locate," Hinata spoke as they got closer and closer to one of the many entrances.

"Yeah not hard at all! Only it's like almost 5:00 AM so she might be checking in right now. You know, it is never like the movies where you say goodbye right at the plane's entrance or boarding spot. Nope you gotta go through check-in and security and shit," Saeko told them, causing Tsukishima to sweatdrop depressedly.

"Why don't you just search up on your phone the airline to see where she could be?" Kageyama asked, sipping on some banana milk.

The group stared at him in shock.

"Yo, Noya... Kageyama actually said something smart."

"Woah..."

The tall blond ignored his friends, quickly searching up on his phone for her flight and airline. It took a few minutes but he quickly found it.

"United Airlines, flight #4183!"

Saeko quickly pulled up at the check-in entrance for United Airlines and without even thinking about it, Tsukishima swung the door open and jogged into the airport, looking around frantically as he saw the line of people ready to go into customs. His eyes quickly landed on a light brown haired girl, but it was too late. She had already entered and he certainly could not go in.

"No..."

Kei's pale hands shook as he slowly walked away from the line, his eyes widened in shock. How could it be? His love was true. It was deep. It was real? So why did the universe let such a thing happen? Or rather why did he let such a thing happen? He had never hated himself so much. Not even a few hours ago when he broke up with Katsumi, not even the last time he talked to Miyamoto. But it was the end.

Tsukki let out a shaky breath and continued walking to the bathroom. Ironically, as he stood hunched over one of the sinks, water he smacked on his cheeks dripping off of his face, it reminded him of when they won the Shiratorizawa game and despite winning, he loathed in self-hatred right after just like how he was now. Only this time, he did lose.

The megane let out a sigh as he exited the bathroom, his eyes downcast as he walked through a crowd of people who were heading out of the airport. Suddenly, he bumped into another person, causing him to look up and see a man who apologized quickly, walking around him. On another day, the blond probably would have cared, but not today. Not today and certainly not now as he looked forward and swore he was going crazy as he saw exactly what he was looking for. Or rather, exactly who he was looking for.

There walked Miyamoto Ena, heading towards the United Airlines line he had sworn he saw her walk out of, but no. She hadn't. There she was, her turquoise eyes set on her passport and her long light brown hair falling graciously over her petite shoulders. Oh, how he had missed everything about her.

The third year blinked, but upon realizing that his brain was indeed not playing tricks on him, he surged foward running towards her with a rush of adredaline that he had never felt before. Not even on the court and not even kissing Katsumi. Hell, it couldn't even try to compare.

When he finally reached her, he said nothing, out of breath, but he didn't need to say anything. The bespectacled boy hugged her tightly to his chest, squeezing her affectionately as he smiled in relief, his eyes closed.

"Tsukishima-san?"

"Please... Just stay... a little longer."

Regardless of the fact that he always ran his mouth, Kei somehow never had the guts or the words to say anything about what he wanted or how he really truly felt. So here he was, holding onto her tightly and he had no plans to let her go.

"i've never had the words to say, but now i'm asking you to stay, for a little while inside my arms."
