"Steven? Steven, where are you?" Connie called out as she looked for her boyfriend. He had gone in the direction of the temple, but she didn't know if he would go there right away with how embarrassed he felt.
"If you're looking for Steven, he's at his house watching TwoTube videos with Eddie and Colby." A voice said as Connie looked and saw Ashely Miller, the cousin of Sadie and the boyfriend of one of Steven's best friends Colby Covington. Next to her was Lauren Thompson, the girlfriend of Eddie Pierce, who was another close friend of Steven.
Admittedly, while Connie loved Steven, she couldn't help but feel a bit envious of him. Even before he met her, he already had some good friends that he's still close to today. Meanwhile, she was the lonely girl with no friends who read fantasy books all day and made friends with the fictional people and creatures in scenarios that she would make up in her head. Yeah, pretty much night and day in comparison.
"Thanks Ashley. I gotta go find him." Connie said as she hurried to the temple and opened the door. Now inside, she hurried up to Steven's room and knocked on the door. "It's open." Steven called out as Connie walked in and saw her boyfriend alone.
"Hey. I thought Ashley told me Eddie and Colby were here with you?" She asked as Steven exited out of the TwoTube app on his phone before responding.
"They left a little while ago to go help their Dads with something. You came looking for me?" He asked as Connie giggled.
"Of course. *looks at bed* Ah! There's my purse! Colby didn't go through it, did he?" Connie asked in suspicion. She knew Colby didn't really care for her due to past incidents. And while Steven did convince his friend to ease up on the insults, Colby still liked to tease Connie(although just for fun).
"Nah. He didn't. I found it next to my bed. You must have left it here. Don't worry: I don't wanna know what deep dark secret teenage girl stuff you have in there. Probably best that I don't know." Steven said with a chuckle as Connie playfully tapped his cheek before a smirk came across her face.
"Oh really? Close your eyes, Steven. And don't open them until I say so, OK?" Connie said as Steven smiled and closed his eyes, wondering what his girlfriend had in store for him.
Connie giggled and reached into her purse and pulled out a tube of lipstick that she had recently began wearing. Quickly running it across her lips, she then put the cap back on the tube and looked at Steven.
"OK. Now turn towards me but keep your eyes closed." She said as Steven turned his head towards Connie while his eyes were still closed. Giggling, Connie placed both hands on Steven's face before planting a huge kiss on Steven's lips and a kiss on each of his cheeks, leaving kissmarks on each cheek and on his lips as well!
At that moment, the Gems came in....and had to hold back their laughter as they saw Steven. Connie giggled as she kissed the hybrid on his forehead.
"You can open your eyes now, Biscuit." She said, trying to hold back her own fit of giggles as Steven opened his eyes and saw the Gems snickering.
"Huh? What's up? What's so funny, you guys?" Steven asked as Garnet simply kept her composure.
"Nothing, Cutie Pie. Nothing at all." The fusion said as Steven just shook his head in confusion at the Gems and Connie's giggling.
*Meanwhile, back in the past*
"I don't believe it. I knew something seemed off with that whole thing. But we have the proof. We could show this to the Diamonds and things would be really shook up." Fire Agate said as he and Dark Aura Onyx had made a startling discovery about Pink Diamond and Pearl that would turn everything upside down.
"Hmm. We could do that. But why would we? Why waste our own energy taking those Crystal Gems apart when this proof would crack them from within?" Dark Aura Onyx asked with a chuckle as he and Fire Agate warped back to the present time where Beryl and Cobalt were waiting.
"There you two are! Where were you?" Beryl asked but Dark Aura Onyx simply chuckled in reply.
"Cobalt and Beryl: Go clear the Warp Pad that leads to Earth. Fire Agate and I will be heading to Earth to take care of some business." He said as Beryl and Cobalt looked at him and Fire Agate before doing what he asked.
"What? Why are we going to....*smirks* oh! I get it..." The Gem Commander said as he understood what was going on.
"That's right. I think it's high time we visit Steven. I'm certain he'll be the most interested in our little discovery." Dark Aura Onyx said as he and Fire Agate headed off.
