"D-Dark Aura Onyx?!? Why are you here?!? Why can't you just leave me in peace, you monster?!?" Garnet screamed as she gazed in pure fear and hatred at her long time tormentor.
"Monster? You wound me, fusion. I'm not the one who allowed those fusion friends of yours to die. I simply was following orders." Dark Aura Onyx said with a chuckle as Garnet was so upset that she unfused into Ruby and Sapphire.
"LIAR! YOU LED THE EXPERIMENTS! BLUE DIAMOND PUT YOU IN CHARGE OF TORTURING ALL THOSE FUSIONS WITH YOUR HORRIBLE DARK AURA!! The way you made them go so insane with their own mental fear...trapping them in their own nightmares where you could make it even worse.....and making them shatter themselves just so the pain would stop for them...." " Sapphire sobbed, her blue eye glaring at Dark Aura Onyx in pure hatred.
But the Gem Commander just chuckled in reply. As if he had no remorse or pity for Sapphire's pain.
"Such bold accusations. A virutoso claim, Sapphire. Yet an inaccurate one. Or at least one part is inaccurate. Blue Diamond put me in charge...because of what you and that low grade Ruby did. She wanted to make sure what you two did never happened again. So that's why she put me in charge. But as I said: I was simply following orders. What happened to your friends is all due to your own actions. The dust from their shards is on your hands...or rather Garnet's hands." Dark Aura Onyx said coldly.
"Who are you two? And why are you here?" Steven asked as Fire Agate looked at him and chuckled.
"Ah! Steven Universe. The Savoir of Earth and hero of both Earth and Homeworld. I must say: You've made quite a name for yourself: First Human/Gem Hybrid, the one who brought upon Era 3 and even more intriguing: The First Diamond to ever be corrupted! You're just full of surprises, aren't you?" The Gem Commander said with a smirk as that was enough to set Steven off as he went Pink form before anyone could stop him!
"STEVEN NO! HE'S TOO STRONG!" Pearl yelled in fear as she watched Steven launch himself at Fire Agate with his bubble fist drawn back...
*POP!*
Everyone could only look on in shock as Fire Agate stopped Steven with just one hand, his hand gripping Steven's fist!
"Now that you've gotten that out of your system, can we please explain---" Fire Agate began to say until....
"LET HIM GO!!" Amethyst yelled as her, Jasper, Connie and Lapis all charged at Fire Agate, who smirked as he tossed Steven into Connie before taking the remaining three out with a quick flurry of strikes that were so fast that a human eye never could see them!
*THUD!*
Amethyst, Lapis and Jasper were soon on the ground in pain while Connie had gotten up and was checking on Steven with Pearl, something that made Fire Agate chuckle.
"What's so funny?!? Why are you two even here?!?" Pearl snapped. She had finally had enough!
"As I was saying: I'm impressed with Steven. All of this...all of what you have now on this planet...this..."Little Homeworld"...is all because of his efforts. He has truly surpassed his mother in every conceivable way. However, that begs the question: Was it all worth it? For all the good that you've done, Steven, you've had to suffer quite a bit for it. Every problem your mother caused...every bond she broke....everyone she betrayed or hurt....it all fell on you and you weren't even alive to see any of it happen! That doesn't seem very fair to someone who's accomplished as much as you." Fire Agate said.
"Whether it's fair or not, Steven persevered and accomplished more than any of us ever imagined he would. It doesn't matter what happened in the past! We are now in the future!" Pearl snapped.
"Quite full of yourself for a Pearl, are you not?" Dark Aura Onyx asked.
"Full of myself? That's quite funny coming from someone who's a part of a group that calls themselves The Pantheon." Pearl replied sharply as Fire Agate rolled his eyes.
"I would shatter you for that remark, but I know something that would hurt you even worse. And besides: Why would we bother if what we have will just cause you to implode from within?" He replied as he now held a Diamond projecter.
"What's that, Pearl?" Steven asked.
"Its a Diamond Projecter. It's like those things you humans call flash drives. They can archive any event. But what could he have on that one?" She asked as Dark Aura Onyx looked at her.
"You know: You and Pink thought you had everything figured out. You thought your plan would be flawless and that every secret you had would be safe forever. But you failed to remember that Fire Agate and myself were not only part of that war as well, but we have certain abilities that other Gems do not have. And we used one to show you how fake you truly are." He replied.
"What do you mean?" Steven asked in annoyance.
"Steven, as I said earlier: You have suffered for all of what you have achieved. But....we're about to show you why all of it...all of your pain...it never had to happen." Fire Agate said as Pearl gasped in fear!
*No. They...they couldn't know! No! There's no way they could know!!* She frantically thought to herself as Fire Agate played the archive on the Diamond Projector....
