*High above Beach City*
"Still feel like staying around here? We can go back to Homeworld at any time. We've done what we came to do." Dark Aura Onyx said as he and Fire Agate were high in the sky, looking down upon the city and keeping an eye on the developing situation with Steven and the Gems.
"Hmph. And miss the opportunity to see that traitor Pink get her comeuppance from the very being she created? I think it's well worth spending a bit more time on this speck of dirt, don't you?" Fire Agate asked with a chuckle.
"Well, if that's the case, maybe we should make sure we are thorough about seeing this through. I sense Steven heading back to the Temple. But I say we play with those Gems a bit more before he gets there. Shall we?" Dark Aura Onyx asked as the two teleported to the Temple...
*Meanwhile*
"Pearl! Just tell him where her Gem is already! Hasn't this gone on long enough?!? Or do you just like seeing Steven suffer?!?" Amethyst asked in pure anger as she, Lapis and Peridot had come back to the Temple where Garnet, Pearl and Bismuth already were there with Connie and Greg. And needless to say, there was a lot of unrest among them.
"Amethyst, calm down! Getting angry isn't going to get us anywhere! I'm upset about this as well, but the best thing we can do is---" Garnet began to say until...
"OH SHUT UP, GARNET!! You act like you're so above everything just because you were made leader of the team by Rose...oh! Excuse me, PINK DIAMOND! Yeah, kinda ironic that Ruby and Sapphire ran from a Diamond only to be taking orders from one again!!!" The Purple Gem snapped, angering the fusion.
"What did you say to me?!? I'll--" Garnet began to say as she and Amethyst were looking like they were about to fight until Bismuth and Lapis got between the two, holding each back!
"ENOUGH! This isn't getting us anywhere! Both of you calm down! What's important is finding Steven and trying to get him to calm down." The Builder Gem said.
"Yeah. I may know next to nothing about Rose or Pink Diamond or whatever alias Steven's Mom went by, but I do know this: I love Steven and I don't want him to do something that he knows in his heart that he'll regret." Connie said with a sigh.
"We love him too, Connie. That's why we need to find him. But where would he be?" Pearl asked until...
"Let me save you the trouble: He's on his way here." A voice said as everyone looked and saw Fire Agate and Dark Aura Onyx appear right there in the Temple!
"You've made a huge mistake coming into our home!!" Garnet roared as all of the Gems launched themselves at the two Gem Commanders....only to be stopped by a red barrier that separated them!
"What?!? You cowards!" Bismuth yelled as she and Amethyst banged their fists against the barrier, but not leaving a scratch or even a single mark on it!
"Cowards? That barrier is to protect you from us. We could end you at any time we choose. But *chuckles* it won't protect you from what's about to happen." Fire Agate said with a chuckle.
"You see, you may be safe from us, but that doesn't mean you're safe completely. And we're simply here to observe." Dark Aura Onyx said as Garnet glared at him with pure hatred!
"Protect us from what?!? What are you...oh no..." The fusion said as everyone turned around and gasped as the warp pad went off and Steven appeared, still full of anger and glaring right at his family. Normally the hybrid would have at least some look of hesitation when it came to something that could hurt someone. But looking in his eyes, he truly had the look of someone who was done holding back.
"Now I'll ask again: Where is she, Pearl?" Steven asked in a voice that dripped with pure rage.
