Pink's Last Wish

Reaction

(Narrator's POV)

It was so dead silent that you could hear a pin drop. No one could believe what they just saw. No one except Pearl, who was now choking back tears. And for good reason: Her and Pink's biggest secret had finally been exposed. There was nothing left to hide anymore.

And while many would expect an immediate reaction of rage or anger or hurt from the Gems, none of them uttered a word. Connie and Amethyst weren't looking anywhere else but the one person who was no doubt hurt the most: Steven.

The hybrid felt like someone had punched him and knocked all of the air out of him. His mother....had been alive this whole time? Even with all he had to deal with, all the pain he went through....she was always there? Never had Steven felt more hurt, betrayed and angry. But oddly enough: Not a single tear could be seen in his eyes. Because they had evaporated from the heat of his anger.

"Steven...Steven? Are you alright? Steven, please say something...." Pearl said, her eyes filled with tears as she tried to approach her baby....only for him to put a barrier up between them!

"Steven, please! Please say something! I had no choice! I had to keep her secret!" Pearl sobbed as Steven then turned and glared at her.

"Where is she? TELL ME! WHERE IS SHE HIDING?!?" The hybrid yelled in pure rage as he went from his pink form into his Fragmented Form(The Form that he was in when he shattered Jasper).

"Well! Yet another surprise from you, Steven. Have to say: That's a nice form. Very well sized and looks very strong. I'm assuming that's what happens when you finally realize how much these Gems have been holding you back? And now that you see that everything you've defended and fought for...has been pointless. You have been trying to fix the mistakes of Pink when she could have easily done it herself. At the end of the day: You've just been doing her work for her while she simply sits back in her bubble." Fire Agate said with a chuckle.

"And these Gems you care for so much. What have they done other than uphold her? Even after everything you've done for them and all you've accomplished, that Pearl still had the audacity to lie right to your face. You believed your mother was gone. Grew into your own person. Became someone many look up to. And now....well you have to wonder if it was all just a ruse. Considering how obsessive that Pearl was about your mother, I certainly wouldn't put it past her if she wanted to wait until you fixed everything Pink broke, only to bring her back and end you. And I doubt that fusion or that overcooked runt of an Amethyst would have stopped her...." Dark Aura Onyx said until....

"SHUT UP!! I'VE HEARD ENOUGH FROM YOU TWO!! We'd never do that to Steven! Don't you DARE put those lies in his head and make him think that!!" Amethyst snapped as Fire Agate laughed.

"Lies? All we've done is speak the truth. And anyway: Didn't that Pearl try to kill him before and you two did nothing to stop it?" Fire Agate asked as Pearl looked at Steven.

"Steven, please! Don't listen to them! They're lying---OOF!" Pearl exclaimed as Steven had punched her right in the stomach, his fist still in her chest.

"I'll ask you again: Where. Is. She?" Steven asked in an eerily calm voice that sounded like he'd go off at the slightest misspoken word.

"I...I...can't...tell..." Pearl said through pained gasps as she hit the ground with a thud as the others looked on in shock!

"Steven?!? How could you do that to---" Bismuth began to say until...

*POW!*

*BAM!*

*POW!*

*BAM!*

Steven walked away, leaving the bodies of Pearl, Bismuth, Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst on the ground. Connie, Lapis and Peridot rushed to check on them before Connie looked at Steven, tears in her eyes.
