Greg Universe was many things to many people he had met over the years: A Womanizer, Rock Star and a father(though recent events have caused some to argue how good of a father he actually was.).
But through it all, Greg has proven one thing: Despite his own multiple disadvantages when it came to Steven's Gem Heritage, he's survived everything that otherwise would have ended any other man.
However, the news he had just heard may very well be what could put him down.
"What?!? SHE'S STILL ALIVE?!? B-BUT....I THOUGHT....SHE....?!?" Greg exclamied in pure shock. He, like the others, couldn't believe the Gem he loved and the mother of his no doubt infuriated son was still alive and well, even after all Steven had been forced to deal with in her absence. As soon as the shock wore off, it turned to anger, making Connie wonder if she made the right choice in telling Mr Universe about this.
"Y-Yeah. Steven's Mom is still alive. And Steven is furious about it. He was so mad he attacked the Gems and told them that he would search every area the Warp Pad could access until he found out where she was. And I can only imagine what he'll do when he finds her. There's only so many places the Warp can access, right?" Connie asked as Greg sighed.
"I doubt the areas are limited to the ones you or Steven know about. The Gems, especially Pearl, have areas that only they or Steven's Mom knew about. So whenever Rose is, it's in one of those areas that's only known to Gems like Garnet or Pearl. Gotta hand it to Pearl and Rose: They thought ahead." Greg said as Connie shook her head.
"Somehow I feel like Pearl knew this would get out at some point. She knew Steven would get older and smarter to her attempts at lying to him. So of course she'd put Pink's bubble in an area that only she knew about. Steven on a wild goose chase and is too angry to realize it. My real worry is what he'll do once he runs out of places to look." Connie said with concern.
"All we can hope for is that he calms down and reasons with us. But I don't blame him for being mad. Why? You think he'll go after Pearl or Garnet?" Greg asked with worry. He knew his son too well. Steven may have had his issues with Garnet and Pearl in the past, but everyone knew he loved them dearly.
But with this new revelation, how long would Steven's love for the Gems be able to hold off his newfound anger towards them and Pink?

Steven sang as he walked through the areas, searching for his mother. It was the only thing keeping him calm with how angry he was. He knew what happened the last time he let his negative emotions get out of control and while the idea of crushing his Mom while in his Corrupted form did cross his mind a few times, he thought it best to not draw attention. This was between him and his mother. And he was finally going to get the answers he was looking for. No one was taking this from him.
The issue was actually FINDING where his mother's bubble was. Steven had searched multiple areas already: The Lunar Sea Spire, Mask Island, Strawberry Battlefields. Pretty much every area he knew of or could access. He ruled out the Kindergartens since they were all so massive that it would take days to cover them all and as angry as he was, he still had his human limits such as food and sleep.
"Agh! Where?!? Where could the bubble be?!? Ugh! Leave it to Pearl to pull something like this!! How could I be so stupid to call her "Mom"?!? She's not....I HATE....GAHH!" Steven yelled in pure anger and frustration. He angrily slammed his fist into the ground, creating a crater.
"Heh. You never fail to amaze me, Steven Universe." A familiar voice said as Steven looked around and saw none other than Fire Agate, one of the Gems he met before.
"What are you doing here?!? How did you get here?!?" The hybrid snapped as Fire Agate just chuckled.
"Save your hostility for the ones who deserve it. I simply came to tell you that if you're looking for Pink's bubble, you should know you're looking in all the wrong places." He replied.
"Where is it, then?!? Other than the Kindergartens, I've looked everywhere!" Steven shot back.
"That's just it: You're LOOKING, but you aren't SEEING. Think for a moment: If that Pearl was trying so hard to keep Pink's bubble hidden, do you not think she would take every precaution possible? Even if she believed you would never find out about this, do you honestly believe she would hide the bubble in a place that she would WILLINGLY show you and bring you to? Why would she hide it in a place that you would inevitably be able to access?" He asked as Steven thought about it.
Sad to say, Fire Agate had a point. Pearl wouldn't hide Pink's bubble in a place that she knew Steven would be able to access one day once he started going on missions with her and the others. Even if she never believed he would find out, she'd still be as thorough as she could be to keep him from finding out.
"Then that must mean Mom's bubble...is in a place that only Pearl knows about! Argh! So much for "no more lies or secrets"! But how do I get her to tell me where Mom's bubble is?!?" Steven asked as Fire Agate chuckled.
"You're a Diamond. Take that anger you have and beat it out of that Pearl if you have to. She doesn't want to tell you? Then make her do it. Way I see it, she's had a beating coming for a long time now. But that's only if you truly find out where your mother's bubble is." Fire Agate said as he then left, leaving Steven with a choice to make.
"I better head back to the Temple." Steven said as he headed back to the Temple to confront Pearl.
But what would he do?
What indeed! Will Steven take Fire Agate's advice? We'll join back with the Gems in the next chapter! See ya then!
