let's backtrack a bit and see what happened to jeno

jeno covered his eyes, as his dad raised his hand assuming that he would get hit

he was terrified, he didn't want to feel the pain, he didn't want to get beat like his mom

until a knock was heard and his dad stopped, he opened his eyes and took the opportunity to kick his dad on the legs and run for the door

"you little shit, come back here"

his dad almost grabbed him but he quickly ran to the door, hands shaking he managed to open it

he sobbed and hugged whoever was there

"we're going to need some backup, 3rd floor, room 184"

and he detached from the person as the police officer went in and looked for the suspect, and he did but his dad resisted

"just do as i say and you'll be fine"

and soon the other officers arrived, one helping jeno and the other going to help the other officer

after what seemed like 10 minutes they finally got him, and jeno was in the cop car on the way to the station

they asked him questions about what happened

"what is he to you?"

"my dad..."

"any particular reason as to why he showed up?"

"n-no..."

"how did you approach the situation, when he wouldn't leave..."

"i-i...hid like my mom told me, and sang a song..."

"and where is your mom?"

"she passed away, because he killed her"

the questions kept coming in and soon it was over, they put jeno's dad in jail and jeno was just relieved

he went home only to hug himself and cry, he felt useless and weak

he hated the fact that he couldn't face his dad, he hated the fact that he cried in front of the officer, he hated that he wasn't braver

and he let himself go, he drank the same night and decided not to do it again, he didn't care anymore and cried his sorrows away

he stayed up all night, fear taking over
