what friends are for
remus woke up early, with a strange feeling of comfort; sirius black was asleep on his shoulders, he looked over to see if he was awake, which wasn't the case. sirius looked so peaceful and beauti- what!? what am i saying? oh my god remus! pull yourself together! he shook his head and gently lifted padfoot off his shoulder. thank god no ones awake yet he thought and got up to go to his bed.
but he was wrong; james potter was awake.
"moony? what were you doing this early at padfoot's bed?" he asked, clearly confused.
"err- nothing" "we just stayed up all night chatting a little and fell asleep" he decided half the truth was enough.
"anyways what are you doing this early in the morning! its 5 am?!" remus replied taking the focus off himself.
"yeah i just thought i'd practice a little on my broom"
"but practice isn't until 7!"
"i know that moony! but i thought i'd warm up a little before practice"
"warm up for two hours?"
"mhm"
remus rolled his eyes "god you are crazy prongs"
james grinned and messed his hair more than it already is.
.
james was almost ready, he was in his quid ditch robes, about to go down, when remus didn't look so well;
"oi moony, are you okay?" james asked.
"y-yeah im fine" remus said feeling dizzy all of a sudden.
"well it doesn't look like it!"
"no need! really, it's probably because the full moon is in- in a couple of days" but even as he said it he slightly stumbled, proving that he clearly wasn't okay.
"hang on, lemme help you to to the hospital wing. madam pomfrey will probably let you rest for the day"
"no! i can't prongs! we have lots of classes today, and i gotta take notes and-"
"oh my god moony sometimes i feel like your more dramatic than padfoot!"
"but-"
"i'll take your notes, you clearly need some rest"
"thanks prongs"
"of course you idiot, after all, isn't that what friends are for" james replied and ruffled moony's hair.
and james helped him all the way to the hospital wing before going to the quidditch pitch.
[a/n] sorry this is a filler chapter but i really wanted to show james and remus' relationship because i think its really underrated, hopefully i'll show more of their friendship later on.
