Mount Justice
July 8, 08:22 EDTAfter the introduction and the quick briefing Amy had asked Batman, if she, too, can permanently stay in the cave. He had starred at her for what felt like an eternity but agreed nevertheless.
She can't crash by Hal all the time and now that the team has a base of operation it's the perfect opportunity for her to leave what she once called home and to get away from her 'mother'. Citrina won't veto against it as she no longer has the power to make decisions that concern Amy. That was what she told her as they left Gemworld. Perks of being a royal she supposes.
The others-- Kaldur, Wally and Robin-- had already left the cave, having missions with their mentors or other obligations, but wished them fun. Either way, that leaves the Homo Magi, the Kryptonian and the Martian alone. Amy had asked Hal and John Stewart, if they have any plans but the two Green Lanterns need to finish up the cave, meaning she's free do whatever she wants for the moment.
Right now, the three remaining teenagers are on their way to pick out their rooms. Miss Martian's eagerly flying ahead while Amy and Supey walk after her. The thirteen-year-old is impressed of the stunning cave and her head constantly wanders from left to right, admiring every inch. Slick steel walls mix perfectly with the rough stone floor and it makes the place look super modern. Later on, Amy needs to look for the library that Hal had mentioned. She can totally see herself spending a lot of time there as an escape from the others. Luckily the cave is big enough for the three and Aqualad, who will stay occasionally too, so that they don't have to squat together in one place all the time.
The girl with the colored hair glances at the clone, who looks straight ahead with a stiff expression. She can't tell if he's as impressed as she is but the tiny glint in his bewitching larimar eyes give her confirmation that he is feeling something. Hopefully it's an emotion other than fury then the blonde spots it far too often in him. He seems so full of it, so full of anger. Sometimes she can identify the things that trigger his rage other times she can't. It seems to be a guessing game or, maybe, the clone doesn't know it either...
"Hey Supey, what do you think about the name Damien?" asks Amy as nonchalant as possible. She taught about a few names these last days but didn't find a perfect match for him yet.
"Nothing," Superboy answers indifferent while turning his head to look at his friend.
The girl rolls her smoky quartz eyes airily and huffs, "Geez, helpful."
Amy can spot confusion in his facial features as he slightly raises an eyebrow, "What should I think about it?"
"Do you like it?" she shrugs.
"I don't care about it," Frankly, she can tell. He seems to be aloof as if his mind is somewhere else. Or to him it's just trivializing that he has no proper name but to her it isn't.
Amy backtracks, rolling the name around on her tongue a bit, testing it out, while eyeing the dark-haired-boy, "Nah, you're right," she demises the topic for now blithely, "It sounds like a brat name. I think of something that suits you better."
Suddenly the green-skinned alien before them stops and turns around; making the other two focus on their new companion. "There are a few rooms here to choose from," she gestures to the doors littering the walls, "So I guess we can have our pick."
She then merrily pushes a button that causes a steel door to slides open, revealing a-- for Amy-- spacious room that is uncluttered and furnished with a bed, a mirror and an open shelving unit. The polished ground reflects the white light that springs on as Miss Martian steps further into the bedroom. The Martian is quickly followed by Amy and the girls look around.
