Midoriya continued waking up every other morning early, and doing his normal routine before heading to the beach to clean for 9 months non stop. It was exhausting to say the least, but Midoriya knew he would benefit from it in the end. On the last day of the nine months, Midoriya woke up extra early and made it to the beach at 6 am sharp.

When he got there he saw the small pile of trash remaining on the beach, it was going to be an easy day. He got to work right away, clearing it all off in an hour. The beach was completely cleared, even the garbage outside of his expected area was cleaned. Not a single wrapper was left. Midoriya was standing atop the small mountain of garbage in the trailer he had collected whilst looking out at the beachfront. He let out a yell of success.

This is the sight that Toshinori was presented while he was walking to the beach. He was never late to have a wonderful conversation with Midoriya, but today was something different. He was standing in shock, the young boy, no, young man that was standing atop his work was screaming his success for the whole neighbourhood to see. Midoriya then turned and saw Toshi standing there with shock on his face, he laughed to himself upon seeing his friend there as he carefully hopped down from the pile.

"Hey Toshi! Whats up!"

"Young Midoriya, your here earlier than usual, and from the look of things your done! Well done my boy!" Toshi put a hand on his shoulder as he said the last part making Midoriya smile.

"Thanks Toshi, your visits made it all the easier for me. Uraraka bringing extra water every now and then was a big help too. I wouldn't be finished so quickly if it wasn't for the two of you so Id like to say thank you, sincerely." He bowed to Toshi who was quick to make him stand again.

"Young Midoriya... there is something that I must tell you." Toshi said, his voice now serious, "There is something that I have been keeping from you, for this whole time. For that Im sorry."

"Its alright Toshi, Im sure it isn't anything That big. Or at least as big as what I've hidden from you."

"Well would you like me to go first then?"

"Nonono, Ill go first Toshi..." Midoriya said, he took a deep breath, "Truth is Im quirkless... I know you said that I could become a hero and everything, but that was before you knew this... I hope that it doesn't change the way we are, and I hope we can continue to be friends. I understand if you don't want to be seen with me, it is only natural." Midoriya was looking to the ground now, hair covering his face. What he didn't expect was to feel a gentle hand ruffle his hair. He looked up to see Toshi standing there with a caring face.

"Young Midoriya I knew that all along. Besides, the fact that your quirkless makes all the acts you've done thus far That much more heroic."

"B-but Toshi- How did you know I was quirkless, I never told you that before..."

"Well my dear friend, this is why..." He took a step back before smoke burst from him causing Midoriya to look away. When he looked back, he didn't see the frail skeletal body of Toshi, but the tall, strong body of the number one hero.

"All. Might." Midoriya said out of breath.

"Thats right my boy. I've been with you this whole time, watching how you acted and grew... how you went about your day. And there is one thing that Im sure of now. You can be a hero." Midoriya heard these words and couldn't help himself. He started to cry tears of joy, tears of happiness... those were the only words he ever wanted to hear, from the only person he wanted to hear them from. "I would like you to inherit my quirk."

"Eh? EHE?!" Midoriya jumped in surprise. "Inherit your Quirk?? What do you mean Tos- I mean All Might?"

"Lets start off like this. My quirk is called One for All, it is a quirk that stockpiles powers from each user it is passed down to. I am the eighth holder, and I would like you, Young Midoriya, to be the ninth."

Midoriya was at a loss for words, 'Is this really happening? Theres no way! Wait... a stockpiling quirk? That means it would need another quirk to make it stronger, why pass it on to me? A quirkless kid? That wouldn't do anything for it... but a quirk! No, I know my answer.' Midoriya looked to All Might with determination set in his face. "All Might? I have to decline."

Now it was All Might's turn to be at a loss for words. "But Young Midoriya! Is this not what a quirkless person would dream of? The chance to have a quirk as powerful as this? With this power you'd be practically guaranteed to get into UA!"

"I KNOW THAT!" He pauses... "I know that, but... to make One for All stronger it needs a holder with a quirk, I can't do that. Besides, I told you already didn't I? I was going to become the world's first quirkless hero right? You can't do that with a quirk. I told you I was aiming for UA, which meant that I was ready to use my own abilities to do that. Guaranteed for UA? What would happen to all my training! I have to decline your offer All Might, for the sake of my Word, and for the sake of One for All. Please, find a successor with the power to make it stronger for the sake of the good in the world."

The two of them just stood there silently. All Might slowly deflated back to his skeleton form, he looked at Midoriya and smiled. "Young Midoriya. The quirkless child. When offered a quirk he turns it down for the good of the world. You truly are a splendid child. I bear you no hatred for turning down my offer, in fact I praise you for your strength, to turn down something such as One for All takes grit, heart, courage and determination. Midoriya, I will not take back what I said, even without a quirk, you can become a hero."

Midoriya didn't say anything, he just looked at the man in front of him, smiled, nodded, and held out a fist. The man laughed quietly to himself, raised his fists and bumped fists. All Might walked away after that, he was still Midoriya's friend, nothing would change that, he was attached to the quirkless kid. He knew it was going to be difficult to find a successor more worthy than Midoriya, but he accepted his wishes. As he turned back to his muscular form and jumped away, he looked back to see Midoriya pumping his fist in the air to All Might, who in turn raised his fist back.

"Young Midoriya, I only wish the best for you on your path to heroism. Good luck."

Midoriya stands in his spot for what seems like hours, looking to where All Might disappeared from view, but in reality it was only ten minutes before a certain someone was tapping his shoulder bringing him back to reality. He slowly looked over his shoulder to see none other than Uraraka smiling brightly at him.

"Hey Uraraka, your up a little early dontcha think?" He smiled back over his shoulder before spinning around.

"Well last time you were here I noticed you were almost done so I came here thinking that you would be finished, looks like I was right!"

"Indeed you were, so whatcha doing?"

"Well after my third time visiting ya, my mom got a little curious about where I had been going these past few days so I told her about what you were doing and she was so delighted that she wanted me to ask you if you and your family would like to come over for dinner today!" She was practically radiating with joy as she told Midoriya all this, he couldn't help but smile.

"Well Im sure that my mother would be thrilled to not have to cook today. I'll text her right now in fact." He pulled out his phone and shot a rapid text to his mother before putting away his phone and looking back to Uraraka. "Say since your here and I've got no other plans would you like to hang out a bit?"

She blushed a little but then smiled, "Sure! I've got nothing planned either so lead the way!"

The two of them started walking back to town together, Midoriya never once mentioning Toshi's secret to anyone.
