Quirkless Doesn't Matter (MHA AU) [ADOPTED]

Midoriya, the Quirkless Child

Have you ever had a dream? A goal? Something to work forwards to? Have you ever had that dream crushed? Shattered? Destroyed? Midoriya Izuku, had a dream that was crushed. Born into a world where 80% of the population has a special power, a quirk. With the discovery of quirks, new opportunities began popping up everywhere, and now the job that everyone had always wanted, the profession of HERO. It was always Midoriya's dream to be a hero, and he was always willing to work hard to be one! But in a world where your quirk defined you, he was at the dead bottom of the pack. Quirkless. This was the harsh reality that Midoriya was introduced to at the young age of four. He was bullied everyday in school because of it, so he decided to never tell anyone else about it, he didn't have any friends because of that fact after all.

One day after school, and after many suicide notes from others telling him to jump off a roof, Midoriya was walking before he was attacked by a villain. His body made of sludge making it impossible for a quirkless child to escape his grasp.

If it was a normal quirkless kid that is...

But this was Midoriya Izuku, the quirkless hero dreamer that never gave up. He dedicated himself to training his body and mind to their absolute greatest potential, and in the years and years of being beaten down for his dream, he had enhanced himself to such a standard that even professional athletes begged for his talent.

"Come on kid don't worry! This will only be painful if you keep squirming! It'll all be over in a few seconds so just hold still!"

'No can do man! This is the perfect opportunity to use it!' Midoriya thought to himself as he reached for the device on his wrist, grabbing the dial, and turning to its fullest setting releasing a series of powerful shockwaves throughout the villain's body before splattering him across the inside walls of the bridge.

"I-impossible! How are you still able to move?! You couldn't breathe in there so you should be passed out! HOW! A QUIRKLESS BRAT LIKE YOU!" The villain screamed from the ground as Midoriya started scooping him into some bottles.

"Its because I've trained myself, harder than anyone else. I've gone longer than ten whole minutes without oxygen so being suffocated for a few seconds is nothing. I've trained and trained, but being strong isn't everything to become a hero, you need to be smart too, which led me to making these." He gestured to his shockwave generator on his wrist, "I made that with scraps I found here and there, so don't take it personal to be defeated by a quirkless kid alright? You probably could've taken down pros with your quirk... you just happened to get unlucky."

"You? a Hero? DONT MAKE ME LAU-" Midoriya put the cap on.

"Don't make you laugh? Trust me, I've heard it all, your words are falling on deaf ears basically. Now I gotta hand you to the police, thankfully its on the way home." As Midoriya started walking again he heard a crash behind him followed by a loud bellowing voice.

"DO NOT FEAR! FOR I AM Here... Oh." All Might was standing on the other side of the underpass, looking at Midoriya holding the villain in two bottles. "Well done young man! Apprehending a villain! You have a bright future ahead of you!" Midoriya who was standing in shock of his idol's sudden appearance finally snapped out of it.

"A-all Might! Its you! Its really you!" He began to hardcore fanboy about his idol before being cut off.

"Sorry young man, but I must be on my way. If you'd like I can hand that villain in for you so that you can make it back home quicker." He held out his hand,

"O-oh right!" Midoriya handed him the bottles and watched as All Might getting ready to jump off before realizing something. "Oh WAIT ALL MIGHT! I have a question for you! Just one..." All Might stopped and turned around now looking at Midoriya, "Do you believe, that someone without a quirk... can be a hero like you?"

There was a long silence before All Might looked away and answered, "Im sorry young man, but no. I do not believe that quirkless people can ever be a hero. Its simply too dangerous a profession. Perhaps aiming for the military or police would be a better option. They might not get as much spotlight, but they are just as important. Now I must be on my way young man."

"Midoriya."

"I beg your pardon?" All Might looked back again, the kid was looking to the ground, he could see a tear fall from his hidden face.

"My name is Midoriya Izuku. And just you watch! I'll prove to you and everyone else that doubts me! I'll become the first quirkless hero! And I'll be the beacon of hope for all quirkless people in the world that are being suppressed for simply being born different... sure I probably can't aim to be number one, but I'll make it up, I will be a hero, and you'll sit by the side and watch me!" He punched out his fist as he held his head, making his final point.

All Might stood there watching before letting a single laugh out, "Young Midoriya, you truly have a good heart. I'll remember your name." He bumped Midoriya's fist before finally turning around and jumping off, leaving Midoriya under the bridge. He was smiling.

"He'll remember me..." Midoriya gave one last glance at his fist before grabbing his backpack from the ground again and walking back to his house where his mother was waiting for him.

Midoriya never thought he'd be involved in TWO villain attacks in one day, let alone having to deal with the same villain twice, but that seemed to be the case here! On his way back after his little meeting with All Might he heard a loud explosion nearby and being the person he was, he ran towards the commotion only to see the same sludge villain rampaging around again.

As he observed he realized that there was someone in the sludge! 'A hostage? Wait, that ashy hair! Those red eyes! Kacchan!' His childhood friend turned bully was being held captive by the sludge villain that once held him captive! 'Why aren't the heroes doing anything?!' He looked at the heroes around, Mt. Lady the newbie hero, Kamui Woods, Death Arms and Backdraft... 'None of their quirks are good for this situation! But still they should at least try something!' After analyzing the situation he decided something. 'This is taking too long! Kacchan will suffocate before they do anything!'

He leaned back and then forwards and started running as fast as he could towards the villain ignoring the heroes protests. 'A weakpoint... find a weakness... His eye! Its the only solid thing about him!' He grabbed another gadget from his backpack, a small cylinder and tossed it at the villain who was now directing his attention at him.

"YOU! ILL KILL YOU BRAT!" He shot a line of sludge at Midoriya who easily jumped the attack and blocked his eyes as the cylinder exploded in a flash, blinding the villain temporarily as Midoriya approached and cranked up the shockwave generator to the max again. Just as the villain regained his sight he looked and saw Midoriya plunge his hand into his side and click the activation button on the device. "NOOOO!" The villain screamed before once again being blown apart, releasing Bakugou.

Midoriya slid forwards and caught Bakugou from the fall before setting him back up. He was going to say something to Bakugou but the Heroes and reporters crowded them before he could say anything. They continued to praise Bakugou for holding out against him for so long while they scolded Midoriya for rushing in quirkless and kept saying that its a miracle that he wasn't taken as another hostage.

"Well its not like You guys were doing anything! You continued saying your quirks aren't fit for it? Well then I suppose that you'd let Bakugou DIE before you could do anything right! Like geez, your adults aren't you, act like it. And besides, I already took out that villain before, so there is 0% chance that I could be taken captive. You should really act more like heroes instead of letting some kid do your job for ya." He then spun and walked away leaving the heroes and reporters shocked.

There was one person who wasn't shocked, standing in the background, the skeletal looking man with blonde hair was watching the whole thing...

'Young Midoriya... I can't wait to see where you go.'
