Midoriya had finished cleaning the beach, but now he was at a lack for things to do. He didn't have any major projects to work on, no workout schedules to do, it was all just so, boring. Right now he was sitting on the floor in his room tinkering with a new piece of equipment. Being quirkless means that he's gonna have to rely on equipment heavily in the future. He already had a few things he could use, but nothing too advanced since he only had access to scraps and some extra wires laying around the house.
'I need this gear to finish the piece, but its super hard to find! Grr! Thats it for today!' He grumpily placed the part on his desk with the remaining scraps. 'May as well study for now...' He went to the bookshelf in his room and grabbed some textbooks on Simple Wiring! or LATEST HERO TECH NOW!!! though he had already read most of them.

He'd been studying and tinkering for a couple hours now and was nose deep in writing in one of his countless journals when he heard his phone vibrate. 'Hmm?' He reached over and picked it up. It was a notification from Uraraka;
U: Hey Midoriya! I realized that you might not have much to do, so I was wondering if you wanted to come on over and chat! I might also need help with something...
D: Sure! I'm on my way Uraraka!
Midoriya put down his phone and packed all his gadgets, books and utensils into his bag before rushing out the door. His mom was out shopping at the time being so he left her a note before jogging his way over.

He knocked on the door of the Uraraka house hold thirty minutes later. He waited a few seconds before hearing the sound of footsteps rushing to the door. Another second later and he was face to face with Uraraka. "Midoriya! Man you made it here faster than I expected!"
"Well you were right when you guessed I had nothing to do so I've been running a lot to pass the time... Anyway what exactly did ya need help with?"
"Oh, right, well there's a few things actually. Follow me!" She beaconed Midoriya to follow as she disappeared around the corner. Midoriya stepped in, closed the door and removed his shoes before following her to her room. When he got in she pulled out two textbooks and a sketchpad. "Alright, well the first thing is I suck at studying so I wanted some of your help, your really smart after all... and the next this is that Im applying for UA's hero course, but I don't know what my hero costume should look like, and I thought that you might have something in one of your sketchbooks that I could use for reference!"
"Well you certainly got the right guy for the job!" He said as he carefully unpacked his bag in the corner of the room before getting started.

They had finally finished studying together and they tossed their books to the side, "Thank Goodness thats over with!" Uraraka sighed, leaning back until she was laying on the soft carpet of her room. Midoriya laughed at her when he saw her.
"We're not done Just yet." He reminded her about the costume designs.
"Oh yeah! Well at least this'll be fun! I think..." She sat back up looking at Midoriya who was shuffling around his books trying to find a specific one.
"Ah there is is!" He pulled out a sketchbook with the title: Potential Hero's No. 3. He began to riffle through the pages until he found what he was looking for. "Here Uraraka! I kinda thought about the time you told me your quirk and all, and I thought that you'd be perfect for a rescue hero so I designed a rough costume for you. You can suggest any changes if you want! I wont take it personal at all, its my thing to draw, so getting advice from the person I thought of while drawing it would be great help!"
He handed her the book and she began to look over it, she blushed at first but began to look over everything with shock, 'S-so detailed...' she thought, and it really was! There wasn't a single detail left out or in the wrong place, it was perfect, except... "Hey Midoriya, why is it skin-tight?"
He heavily blushed realizing that it could be taken out of context so he was quick to explain, "Well since you'd be a rescue based hero instead of combat based there would be situations that would have lots of protruding things like wires or pipes etc... so having baggy clothing would only get you caught more often and making your job both slower and harder which could be the difference between your life or someone else's."
"Oh! That makes sense! Your really good at designing Midoriya! What are you planning on doing for high school?"
"O-oh, well I was thinking of going to UA for the Hero Course, but its a stretch for me so Im also applying for the Support Course too. I also checked with the principle who said that I could take both if I make it, I would benefit in the hero course greatly if I could design my own equipment afterall!"
"Thats so cool Midoriya! Say, why do you want to be a hero? I never really asked before..."
Midoriya tensed up a little, he knew why he wanted to be a hero, but Uraraka didn't know, it could destroy their friendship like it did with Bakugou... 'No, Uraraka isn't like him.' He took a breath before starting, "W-well, theres something you should know about me first. Im sorry for not telling you earlier, I was just afraid that it would hurt our relationship..."
"What're you talking about Midoriya? Nothing can hurt our friendship!" She said reassuringly,
"A-alright. Well, first off, Im quirkless. The reason I want to be a hero is to be the beacon of hope for the quirkless people who are constantly belittled by society for being born different from the norm. I want to be the first quirkless hero." He stopped and looked at Uraraka. He expects her to be shocked, mad, possible furious with him, but what he was was none of those.
It was compassion.
She smiled at him before leaning in and wrapping him up into a hug. "Don't worry Midoriya... I wont leave, I think thats a great reason. Im sure you've been belittled by others your whole life, so please... let me help you rise up okay?" She pulled back as she said the last part, looking him dead in the eye.
He smiled at her, as a tear slowly appeared, "Okay!" He said, he let his tear fall, only one though. He pulled her back into one final hug before getting back to the task at hand.

The time had come for Midoriya to leave, Uraraka was super thankful for his help and she had finally chosen what she wanted for her hero costume (refer to top picture Not owned by me! ) and was super excited. They waved goodby when Midoriya was on the sidewalk but before Midoriya was out of sight Uraraka called out to him, "Hey Midoriya!"
He turned to look at her, she was smiling brighter than ever.
"I'll see you at the entrance exam in a few weeks!!! GOOD LUCK!" He smiled back and waved.
This was the first time that someone his age actually stayed his friend after learning his secret, and he couldn't help but smile the whole walk home.
