IZUKU'S POV
I'm currently in front of the Bakugo residence with Kacchan. He hasn't said anything for at least a minute now and it's making me incredibly uncomfortable. "umm.. ka-" I attempted to say before being cut short noticing that there were tears streaming down his face. "where did you go.." he said to me while rubbing away the tears in his eyes. "I umm.. I-I I was adopted.. after the incident and the day we had our argument was also the day I left. I never got the chance to tell you because I was so upset by how angry you were at me... and that name you called me really hurt although I knew you were just angry so it's okay I don't mind the name anymore" I explained to my childhood friend " I'm sorry Izuku.. for what I said that day it was uncalled for. I just let my pride get in the way like usual and I was really upset, I shouldn't of said what I did still. What I called you 'deku' I don't want it to mean useless, I may have been the one who called you it but prove it wrong, prove to everyone who looks down on you that they shouldn't and prove to my past self how much of of an idiot he was haha.. remember what we wanted to be when we were younger?" I nodded in response. "The wonder duo" we both said in unison then burst out into laughter. "Well we were cringy as fuck" Kacchan said when he calmed down."Kacchan! language". He rolled his eyes at that. "Anyway let's go inside I bet the old hag will be happy to see you again.
So we both walked into the house and took off our shoes by the door. After a few seconds I heard auntie Mitsuki shout "IS THAT YOU BRAT". Kacchan rolled his eyes in response while I giggled. *I guess some things never change*. "YEAH OLD HAG" I heard him yell in response. "WATCH IT BRAT" she yelled back. I burst out into laughter from this alerting her of my presence. "IS SOMEONE WITH YOU"she yelled again. *My poor ear drums why can't they just talk normally but it's nice they're still the same as ever.* "Damn Deku I wanted to surprise her." He whispered to me. "hehe whoops..". We walked into the hallway and to the kitchen to find auntie preparing dinner. I smiled brightly at the scene. "Hey auntie..hehe" I giggled nervously after saying that. She froze for a second then turned around slowly absolutely shocked to see me again. "Izuku..?" she questioned not quite believing it was me. "yep.." I was so nervous but then she suddenly started crying and ran up to me giving me a dangerously tight hug, I could barely breathe. After that Auntie asked me to stay over for dinner and I was about to accept before remembering I had to cook for my adoptive family. "Sorry but I can't.. maybe another time but I've gotta get back home soon." It's okay I understand maybe next time kiddo" she replied adding in a small chuckle and a smile at the end also making me smile. We caught up after that me explaining to her also how I was adopted and so had to move although of course I left out the information on how they treated me not wanting to cause trouble to them after all they took in a useless fool like me. I should be grateful they didn't send me back to the orphanage after finding out I was supposedly quirkless. I also explained to Kacchan and auntie my quirks and how they worked. They were super impressed. I hadn't talked this much in years, I felt so comfortable and safe with them that I was okay with talking without fear of consequences and I could smile genuine smiles and not fake ones. After an hour I told them I had to go, Kacchan walked me to the door, we exchanged numbers and said out goodbyes.
It was already 6:15 and I was running to the store to pick up ingredients for dinner. I had to make it by seven sharp or they wouldn't allow me out for a week and that was the best part of my day. I'd be completely lost not being able to get away. I got back by 6:35 and quickly ran to the kitchen and made a quick but decent dinner as fast as possible making sure to clean up after myself. I set the table neatly preparing five plates for everyone excluding me. They didn't allow me eat with them and so I ate alone in the kitchen. *oh no..7:01 maybe they won't notice..* They stood up the second I had finished and looked at their watches "a minute too long IZUKU, I thought you knew better than to keep us waiting. You're not leaving this house for a week understand?" I stayed silent not wanting to say anything to make things worse, instead I nodded my head in response."UNDERSTAND IZUKU?, WHEN I TALK TO YOU, YOU RESPOND, YOU DAMNED USELESS BRAT!" "y-yes ma'am!" I quietly blurted out in response shaking from her shouting. You'd think i'd be used to it by now but she scares me and I worry things might get worse in the future. I went to eat my dinner silently in the kitchen trying to push back the tears that threatened to escape me. I was like an uncovered well being filled every time the rain fell just like acid to my already deep wounds. I was just waiting for the day that it overflowed.
I cleared up after everyone was done their dinner and went up to my room to sleep. After I took a shower and pulled on a pair of shorts I laid down in bed recalling the events of today and smiled to myself thinking of Kacchan and auntie Mitsuki and how fun it was talking to them. Then just as I was drifting off into sleep I hear a loud shout. "IZUKU GET DOWN HERE THIS SECOND", they sounded absolutely furious *oh no what did i do..*. I got up and quickly pulled on a shirt over my head and ran down to the living room only to be met with the scene of me saving Kacchan being played on the tv.
