IZUKU'S POV

"Sorry Kacchan..." I whispered quietly while looking down at my signature red shoes. You see it's the next day at school right now and Kacchan just so happened to come in early so now I can talk freely. This would be nice and all if I wasn't covered in bruises. He keeps asking me what happened and where they came from but I can't tell him the truth, I don't want to be a burden and I'd get my parents into trouble, that's something I could never be forgiven for. I also feel like I've been troubling Kacchan too much lately, I walk in with a new bruise each day and he always worries about me so the only thing I can do is apologize but it never seems like enough. I was about to once again apologize and tell him not to worry but I heard the classroom door open up which instantly shut me up, I can't believe I didn't hear them earlier I guess I was too distracted.

Both me and Kacchan looked over to see our teacher walk through the door, I sighed in relief knowing I could get away with not answering Kacchan's questions for a while longer but he just grumbled in annoyance and went to his seat. After awhile the classroom filled up and classes began. A few hours later we had gym classes, sports day was approaching and so we had to try all the activities to see who would be competing in what. I love these type of activities It's just it's a school event and that means all eyes will be on me if I'm chosen to represent the class in a something. Even still I'm not the type to fake it just because I don't want to do it so I'm gonna try my best. Me and Kacchan walked over to the changing rooms to get dressed to gym, we were the last to get in since my teacher wanted to talk to me after class and Kacchan stayed and waited for me so when we got there we were met with a bunch of teenage boys shouting half dressed and messing around. *Dang, I normally prefer to get changed before anyone shows up but since their distracted hopefully they won't question all the bandages.* I hoped in my head while Kacchan nudged me and told me to hurry up. I started changing ad fast as i could to get it over with fast but the moment I took off my shirt I caught the attention of Kacchan and a few of the silent ones in the class. I could feel their eyes on me but Kacchan's was the worst, he looked horrified but continued getting dressed then walked out without me. I'm just lucky he can't see the bruises and scars under them or he'd probably pass out. I had a chance of getting away with not explaining the bandages on my face but now that he's seen everything I don't think I'm getting away with it after all. I gulped nervously then quickly put on my gym shirt and finished up changing. Once I had pulled on both my shoes I took a deep breath and walked out to our school courts.

We just finished stretching and doing our warm ups but Kacchan hasn't said a word to me, he's  been staring at me though and it's making me really nervous. Thankfully we'd already had lunch today so I just have to dash for my life once the final bell rings today. *Training with Daichi is gonna hurt alot more than usual, my body aches so bad from yesterday* I thought to myself while waiting to be called for the two hundred metre dash. I got the fifth fastest score in the class, although I've got great reflexes I'm not the fastest runner but I'm still decently fast none the less. Next up was the four hundred metre run, now this one was a breeze because after all the laps I've done from training I practically ran those four hundred metres like it was nothing. I finished first and a full minute before the second person, Kacchan came in third which seemed to annoy him because he looked pretty mad. The next thing we did was hurdles, now with my parkour skills this was a breeze, I was used to jumping although my muscles hurt whenever I brought my legs up to my chest which slowed me down a bit but I still got the fastest time in the end. My class seemed pretty surprised at how well I was doing because I would usually be out on the bench because my injuries. I know my parents would never write me a real note so I'd have to write one myself, the times I did participate in gym classes I never really tried much, I wanted to save my energy for training with Daichi and I didn't really get riled up unless it was a competition.

Anyway so I'm now in my final class of the day, geography and I'm trying to figure out how to get out faster than Kacchan because I know he's gonna try stop me. I sit in the middle row of tables so I'm closer to the door but I know Kacchan's faster than me plus he could just shout for someone to stop me and they'd gladly comply, they seem to be quite scared of him which makes sense because of his explosive personality but still, *Ughhhhh how do I get out* I thought to myself while scratching my head. I glanced up at the clock, just two minutes left. I slowly slipped my equipment into my bag leaving out my school book so my teacher didn't notice. *One minute..* our teacher said we can start packing up but I didn't want to risk putting in that last book so I just put on my backpack and gripped onto my book. I'd been counting down in my head because I knew I needed to time this perfectly, *ten.....six.....three.. two..one* and I dashed, right towards the window. It was wide open because of the heat giving me the perfect opening. I jumped and tucked my legs into my chest as I flew through the open window and a wave of pain from my sore muscles washed over me. I'm not sure how I thought I was going to land considering I was on the second floor of the building, my legs aren't made of steel and so even though it was against the rules I used my quirk to land softly on the floor. I looked back up to see Kacchan rocketing himself towards me using his quirk while screaming "DEEEKKUUUUUU!!!", *crap* was all I thought before I started running like my life depended on it. I didn't dare look back for fear of Kacchan being right behind me, the moment my foot reached the gate a wave of relief washed over me now knowing it wouldn't be hard to lose him from there on, but it was also the moment I came to a crashing hault. I was... falling. My arms collided with the ground protecting my jaw and I just laid there unable to move as Kacchan was pinning me down. I stayed silent as Kacchan slowly pulled me back onto my feet, "No more running Deku.." he said sternly to me making my gulp in slight fear. He said it quietly not loud like he usually would, *he's serious this time* I thought to myself and sighed in defeat as he dragged me out of the school and towards the forest, *towards the warehouse?* I questioned confused.
