Aqua's Good Day

"Welcome back to the world of the living, Aqua."

Aqua woke up with a headache again but I'm glad this time it wasn't by some mysterious bottle of booze, but regular booze.

Aqua: "How long was I asleep for?"

Y/N: "I don't think that matters. But what does matter is whether or not you remember anything that happened last night."

Aqua: "What happened last night..."

I wanted to lie to her for a bit, see if I could get a reaction out of her.

Y/N: "Oh so you don't remember when you were all like "oh Y/N you're super hot" and started doing things with me?

Aqua: "I did what?!"

She held her head, embarrassed.

Y/N: "Haha, just kidding. Get ready, I'm gonna make breakfast."

I stood up, taking out my shirt and temporarily putting on a magical one.

Aqua: "You're kinda hot...."

Y/N: "What was that?"

Aqua: "Just go make breakfast! It better be good."

Y/N: "It always is."

Megumin: "So, Darkness, what will we do today?"

Megumin turned to Darkness who was eating breakfast.

Darkness: "I don't know, Aqua, what will we do today?"

Darkness turned to a hungry Aqua as she was devouring her breakfast. She stopped swallowing and turned to Kazuma.

Aqua: "Kazuma Kazuma."

Kazuma: "I'm Kazuma."

Aqua: "What will we do today?"

Kazuma: "I don't know, ask Y/N—"

Y/N: "Listen!"

Everyone turned to look at me as I looked at my teammates and also dumb friends.

Y/N: "We aren't doing anything, it was I that was going to do the quest, but I am only allowed to take one other person for some reason."

Megumin: "Ooh pick me, pick me!"

Y/N: "Sorry Megumin, you're already a protagonist in another Konosuba book, so you aren't coming with me."

Megumin: "Eh? Fine then!"

Y/N: "Great. Aqua, you're coming with me."

Aqua stood up from her chair, excited to go out with me for many reasons but I knew none of those reasons yet.

Aqua: "Awesome! I'll bring my bottle—"

Y/N: "It's a quest, not a party."

Aqua: "Fine, I'll bring my staff."

You and Aqua walked through a trail in the forest, with her staff in hand and your lance in yours, walking side by side. You noticed she walked with a drooped head, which made you pat her back in hopes to cheer her up.

Y/N: "Hey Goddess, hey Goddess. You alright?"

Aqua: "Yes Y/N, I'm fine..."

Y/N: "I don't think you're fine, what's up?"

Aqua: "The sky."

You looked up, so did Aqua. She laughed quietly at her own joke.

Aqua: "Heh, sorry. I just... I'm totally stressed!"

Y/N: "What's making you stressed?"

Aqua: "I... I might or might not owe some money..."

Y/N: "Like usual..."

Aqua: "W-What does that mean?!"

Y/N: "Sorry. Here, give me that."

I took the staff from her hand, placing it on my back where I usually store my lance.

Y/N: "Let me help you."

I helped Aqua sit down. Sitting down behind her, I placed my hands on her shoulders.

Aqua: "Wha— You wanna take advantage of me at my lowest point? That's very—"

I started giving her a massage since I just so happened to be good at those. Aqua seemed to be a bit more relaxed since all the tension in her body slowly started to dissipate.

Aqua: "Hooooo... Godly fingers..."

Y/N: "Please don't make weird noises, I'm doing my best here."

Aqua continued to make weird noises, constantly complimenting me and my 'godly fingers' which was really making me uncomfortable. And talking about uncomfortable, a couple of adventurers walked along the same trail we were, looking over at us as if we were being weird.

Aqua: "What are you all looking at?! Move along!"

Aqua scared the adventurers as they fled the area with a quick pace.

Aqua: "K-K-Keep going Y/N, that's really good...."

Y/N: "We still have to pay your debt, so we'll do it with the money we'll earn from the quest alright?"

Aqua: "Yeah yeah... just go a bit lower pleeeeeee! Heeheehee...."

I did as she told me and she seemed to really enjoy it, so I was glad I was able to help. I gave her one pat on the back and stood up.

Aqua: "Ah, that was great... can we do it again later?"

I helped Aqua stand up, handing her back her staff.

Y/N: "Later. Now, we have a quest to complete."

Aqua: "Understood!"

After the quest, which was to get rid of a gigantic frog from blocking the road, we went to the guild to claim our reward and pay off the debt Aqua had, which was a huge relief to her and myself. Walking back to the mansion, we told the team about the debt, but they were understanding about it and we called it a day.

Aqua entered her room as I stood by the door frame, leaning against the door. She sat on her bed and, did something I wasn't really expecting her to do: she had a very cute smile on her face. I looked away in hopes that she wouldn't notice the slight blush on my face.

Aqua: "Today was really nice, Y/N."

Y/N: "R-Really? I'm glad you liked killing that frog."

Aqua: "No, I mean, spending time with you."

I winked at her.

Y/N: "I'm glad, cuz I did too. Goodnight goddess, sleep well.

I turned around and as soon as I did, Aqua calls out to me.

Aqua: "Hey, umm... can we, do it again some other day?"

Y/N: "Heh, yeah. Some other day."

I smiled as I closed the door behind me, leaving satisfied and happy and it seemed that went both ways.
