"Delilah, keep your eyes on the ball!" "Nice block!" Get rid of it Bel!" "Take the ball and run!" The crowd was filled with the cheering and shouting of fans. Everyone was roaring with anticipation as the clock was counting down the final seconds of the game. "Shoot, Cullen shoot!" "Don't let them in guys!" As the clock reached zero, the final shot was taken by a person in a vibrant blue jersey reading 'Santos 01'. Everybody held their breath as the ball rocketed toward the net being guarded by a taller red player. The tall red male lunged for the ball, but missed it at the last moment, resulting in yet another point for the blue coloured team.
"And that's the game folks! Man, that was one of the closest finishes I've seen yet! With the Verona Montagues and the Verona Capulets both at 3, they have yet another tied game for their records." Both teams sigh, feeling very unsatisfied with how the game turned out. "Gods, we were so close! Why did that damn Monague have to steal our victory from us," one red player by the name of Bellamy complained. "It's alright Bel, we'll beat 'em next time," a shorter girl said, attempting to cheer everyone up. "You're right Delilah, we're better than them! And we'll prove it," Bellamy said with confidence as he got to his feet. He could tell that even though Delilah was trying to seem positive, she was just as bummed out as everyone else. He hated seeing his sister sad, so he came up with a plan to cheer her up, along with the rest of his team. Some looked at him in confusion as he went over to the team cooler and grabbed a cold can of Pepsi and shaked it a bit before placing it in his pocket. Then, after turning around and giving his team a wink and a devilish grin, he turned toward the field and began walking across it to where the Monatgues were sitting, chatting amongst each other.
"Kass, that final goal was amazing! I wasn't sure it was going to make it in the net for a moment there," a player by the name of Nathan said, praising the spectacular goal made by his teammate. "I mean, yeah, she did good. Not as well as me, but still okay I guess," another by the name of Cullen said with a cheeky grin adorning his face. "Aww it's okay to feel intimidated by my skill Cullen. I mean, there's a reason I was made team captain after all," Kassandra said, happily returning his cheesy grin and teasing tone. "Yeah, it's because your parents coach this team. They just give you special privileges to make you feel better," Cullen taunted back. The team joked and laughed, poking fun at each other until they saw a certain red-jerseyed player making his way over to them.
"What do you think he wants," one person asked, a sliver of fear showing in their eyes. "He's probably just here to beg me for mercy, captain to captain, y'know," Kassandra said with a playful tone, earning snickers from the rest of her team. As Bellamy closed the distance between him and the herd of Montagues, he started speaking. "I just wanted to come over and congratulate you all for not losing to us today. That last goal was pretty intense, huh," he said. It was clear to every player there that this 'kindness' he was showing was fake and that he had something up his sleeve. Some teammates were wary of what he could be planning, others didn't want to be a part of his schemes and got up to move a safe distance away to watch, but a few were just flat out angry because they felt like he was mocking them. "What? Are you just sad that you failed to beat us yet again," one player said as she and another kid stood up and began to walk towards him. "Were you so intimidated by us that you came to surrender," the other player said, both slowly closing in on the red player. Everyone could sense the tension between the three. They could all feel Bellamy trying to keep his cool, but failing. Everyone could see that he was at his breaking point. And then they shattered him. "I bet your sister's pretty disappointed in you."
