Faith sat on the steps that led up to the thrones in the throne room. Crowley had promised her that he would bring her back, but only at the opportune moment, whatever that meant.

All the demons had cleared out of the room, leaving her alone. Crowley had escorted Cashmere out of the room himself. Faith wondered what Crowley would use her favor for.

If Crowley was smart, then he would use it on his wife. Cashmere defied Crowley every moment she got when Crowley went through the demons on his list today. Faith supposed that Crowley deserved this. It was his fault that he didn't know Abaddon and Cashmere were sisters.

Faith looked up when she heard footsteps walking towards her. Crowley stood before her, a smile on his face.

"It's your lucky day," Crowley said, "it looks that Moose and Bird have just cured your brother back to humanity."

"You going to bring me back now," Faith asked.

Crowley sighed, "Yes, if you uphold your end of the deal. You give me a favor."

"You have my word," Faith assured. Crowley sighed and took out a knife. He held it out to Faith and she took it. She cut her forearm with it and handed it back to Crowley.

He did the same and chanted in Latin, "conjuncti sumus, unum sumus." Crowley watched as Faith's spirit flowed into his arm, the spot glowing red. Crowley sighed, "Now all I have to do is find your bloody body."

Sam had made Dean go to his room and rest after he was cured. Sam had served his brother all the food he could find, but Dean was still hungry. Everyone had come back in and reunited with Dean.

There was happiness yet unrest lingered in the air. They were waiting for Faith to come back. Jo filled Dean in on what had happened over the last seven weeks, up to and including Crowley's mention of bringing Faith back. Cass was looking through some books in the library when Sam walked in.

"How's he doing," Cass asked.

"He's uh...he's still a little out of it, but better I think," Sam answered, "I mean, I think this whole thing, the blood cure and all of it really wrecked him, you know?"

"Yeah," Cass said.

"He won't be better until Faith is back," Sam said.

Cass's attention shot up to him, "what?"

Sam sighed, "Crowley's going to bring Faith back."

"How," Cass demanded.

"He said she found the back door to Hell in Purgatory. If he doesn't bring her back, she'll kill him," Sam said.

"Is he going to bring her back," Cass asked.

"Yeah, he was supposed to bring her back after Dean was cured," Sam said.

"So where is he," Cass asked.

"I don't know," Sam answered, "I summoned him, but he never showed."

"We're trying again later," Cass said.

Sam nodded, "on the plus side, Dean's hungry again, so I'm just going to go pick him up a big bag of crap food and stuff it in his face myself. You mind keeping an eye on him?"

"Yeah," Cass answered, "Sam?"

"Yeah," Sam said.

"You realize that one problem is solved, but another remains. Dean is no longer a demon, that's true, but the Mark of Cain, that he still has and sooner or later, that is goanna be an issue," Cass said.

"You know what Cass? I'm beat man. One battle at a time, you know? Faith lived with that Mark all her life, so I think our best option is to have her take it back. But right now, I'm just going to go grab my brother some cholesterol and then I'm goanna get drunk."

Cass nodded and watched as Sam made his way out the front door. Cass heard someone chuckle behind him; he turned to find Gabriel standing there.

"You are unbelievable," Gabriel said.

"About what," Cass asked.

"About Faith," Gabriel clarified, "how can you still think, after all you've done to her, that she'll come running back to you?"

"Because I believe in our relationship," Cass answered, "Faith has always stood by me even when I didn't stand by her."

"And should she come back and not want to even look at you," Gabriel asked.

Cass sighed, "What is it to you? Why do you care?"

"I didn't just spend three months looking over her brothers for nothing," Gabriel said.

Cass scuffed, "you love her."

Gabriel smiled, "it looks like you have some competition, bro."

"There is no competition," Cass growled.

"How about we let Faith decide that," Gabriel asked, walking away. Cass sighed before he walked down the hall to Dean's room. He knocked on the door.

"Yeah," Dean asked.

Cass opened the door and walked in, "you look terrible."

Dean chuckled, "you know it wouldn't kill you to lie down every now and then."

"No, it wouldn't kill me, it would just, forget it," Cass said.

"Well, you on the other hand, you're looking good," Dean said, getting up from his bed, "so are you back?"

"At least temporarily," Cass answered, "yeah, it's a long story, Crowley, stolen grace, another angel." When Dean tilted his head, Cass shook his head.

"It's not what you think," Cass said, "She's just another angel looking to find some rogue angels who betrayed heaven."

Dean nodded and sighed, "Well, thank you for stepping in when you did. What did Sam say? Does he want a divorce?"

"I'm sure that Sam knows that whatever you said or what you did, that wasn't you. It certainly wasn't all you."

"I tried to kill him Cass," Dean said.

"Dean, you two have been through so much. Look, you're brothers. It's going to take a lot more than trying to kill Sam with a hammer to make him want to walk away," Cass said.

"I killed Faith," Dean said, "and then mocked her death like she deserved it."

"Sam hasn't walked away," Cass said.

"You realize how screwed up our lives are that that even makes sense," Dean said. Cass chuckled. "I'm glad you're here man," Dean said.

Cass nodded and started to walk towards the door, but he turned back to Dean, "hey, maybe you should take some time off before you get back to work. Let yourself heal. It's a, I don't know, timing might be right. Heaven and Hell, they seem reasonably back in order. It's quiet out there and Faith's on her way back. Make sure you're rested before she sees you. She's already going to kill me for what happened to Sam's shoulder. Don't make it worse." Dean smiled as Cass walked out the door, closing it.
