𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 than I had wanted it to. I shifted and saw that Feyre had already gotten up. I gently got out of the bed, trying not to disturb Nesta and Elain. I cringed when my feet hit the cold ground, I truly resented winter. I quickly got dressed and made my way to the kitchen.
"Morning, Rey." I greeted, as I watched her take the water of the fire. Tea wasn't a luxury that we could afford anymore, but I thanked my lucky stars for the small blessing of hot water anyway.
"Morning, Leia." She replied, pouring herself a cup of hot water. "Breakfast?"
I nodded and thanked her as she put down a bowl of last night's stew. I sat down on one of the chairs that stood by the table. "I'm going to go back into the woods today to check on the snares," I told her as I took a few bites of my breakfast, "Only one of them was used, so I'm hoping that there will be more today."
"Please be careful out there, Leia." She warned me, a frown on her face. I gave her a reassuring smile and nodded. I moved my chair back to put my bowl in the sink and moved to the doorway to grab my shoes. Lacing the boots, I checked out the leather, perhaps I shouldn't have waved off Feyre's offer to buy me new shoes.
"I mean it, Leia. If anything feels off, you leave. Promise me." She said. I looked at her and frowned at the concerned look on her face.
"I swear, Feyre, that if anything feels off, I'll leave the woods." I gave her another reassuring smile. Fastening my cloak, I stepped outside into the fresh snow.

The frozen leaves and twigs crunched underneath my feet as I made my way through the woods. It was the sound that I could hear. No bird song, no bees, no soft chimes of the leaves in the wind. The woods were ominously quiet as if something was lurking that wasn't supposed to be there. I thought back at the promise that I had made Feyre this morning.
Deciding that it probably was my paranoia, I shook the strange feeling off me as I spotted the a snare. Empty. For a second, I contemplated turning around, back to the scarce, but welcome warmth of the run-down cabin. Going home now, meant going back out tomorrow, so I let the thought slide.
