A week after Feyre left to care for our aunt Ripleigh, a man appeared at our front door. Offering my father to invest his money for him. Within a month, our father managed to double the amount. And by a miracle, our ships were found in the city Barath, complete with our father's profits. I supposed that this was something I'm supposed to be happy about, but ever since the day Feyre left, I can't seem to shake this strange feeling I had. Something was wrong. I just had to figure out what it was.

It has been months since that day—months since we almost starved. Now, we lived in a chateau of marble and emerald roofs. I felt like a stranger in my own home. Elain and Nesta had learned how to do this, I didn't. I was too young. Too young to remember wealth. Too young to remember our mother.

I was seated in the window of the library. I didn't know how to read, but the space gave me comfort in a way I had never experienced before. From where I was sat, I could see the sloping driveway that came with the chateau.

It was a bright and sunny day. The comfortable, sweet spring warmth had turned into the sticky, hot summer. If we had still lived in that cabin, I would've relished in the heat, now I just can't seem to appreciate it. I squinted as I saw a gilded carriage riding up to our chateau. Probably Lord Grey, Elain's fiance and the most annoying man I had ever met. And I haven't even mentioned his father.

I decided I wasn't going to leave the library, instead opting to wait in there until the guests leave. But alas, peace wasn't granted to me as I heard my sister call out to me. "Leia! Come down, quick!"

Curious, I made my way out of the library towards the front door. My sisters were already standing outside. We watched as a woman- no, as Feyre climbed out of the carriage. Nesta spoke before I could say something "Welcome to hour home, lady..." and she curtsied low, Elain following her example.

Feyre let out a stark laugh. "Nesta," She said, and I saw Nesta tense. No longer able to keep it in, I laughed, Feyre joining me. "Nesta, don't you recognize your sister?" I asked.

Elain gasped. "Feyre? What of aunt Ripleigh, then? Is she dead?" She asked. Feyre nodded slowly, and I narrowed my eyes. Something was off.
