Chapter 6

Izuku refused to cry as he got up and started to walk the direction that Katsuki went. He couldn't believe that he was wrong. It was because his Kacchan was already someone rude but deep down nice. Surely he didn't mean his words. It was a misunderstanding!

He stopped as he saw Auntie Mitsuki on the bench where she and Inko had sat literally the two days before.

He peeped his face around the tree and saw the mother smile as if nothing happened as her son stomped towards her.

Did...she not care either?

Auntie Mitsuki was nice inside and out so she wouldn't lie to him right?...

He stayed behind the tree ready to run off as he slowly inched forward.

"WHY DID YOU FOLLOW ME DEKU?!?!" Katsuki immediately noticed him and the sound of an explosion cackled in his hands.

Mitsuki immediately looked at him in surprise and she got up to run to him.

"Izuku! You're alive?" She gasped as she got closer.

Was...he not supposed to be alive?

"I saw the news! That was your house wasn't it?"

So she did know...does that mean Kacchan knew too? And he still only cared about whether he was strong?

Mitsuki knelt down by his side and raised a hand to cup his face. "We all thought you died..."

...

He had enough.
The care in Mitsuki's words fell deaf to his ears as he slapped her hand away and ran for it. He didn't care where but he needed to get away.

The happiness he thought he had was squished. Was everything a lie?

He could hear the panicked shriek from behind him and he could hear Katsuki joining in with the run.

Did they want to kill him? Did they want to get rid of him because he was supposed to have died yesterday?

He ran down an ally and ended up bumping into a man dressed oddly with glaring eyes. His long tongue pointed towards Izuku's face.

He looked scary...

Izuku muttered an apology before slowly backing away but as he turned around, he was faced with Katsuki blocking the way. His face was red as he ran as fast as he could but Izuku didn't want to be anywhere near him. He wanted to get away. He stumbled again into the man who then looked at Katsuki before picking up Izuku and jumped up the side of the building.

Was he... helping him?

Katsuki hollered as Izuku disappeared over the top of the building and was set down on the roof.

"T-t-thank-k y-you..." He stammered to the stranger who nodded.

" I-I'm Izuku M-Midoriya. Wh-who are y-you?"

The man paused to look at the eyes of the boy. They were truthful, the kid wasn't lying. He sighed before replying. "Stain."

Izuku smiled before taking a thankful bow. Yes! He was right! This world is surely beautiful since even a stranger hel-

"The hero killer."

...

The light was lost once again as he took in those words. Confusion filled his mind as he tried to understand how the person he viewed as an ideal member of society was an actual villain...

Was he really wrong?

He couldn't cry in front of Katsuki earlier but the tears started to fall now. He was thankful to this man to save him and that was a fact.

He didn't want to be a "hero" anymore. He was going to be a person who saves others, even if that meant being a villain. He wanted to be like All Might but he knew he couldn't be the same. He didn't have a strong punch and he couldn't be a hero for justice. But he could still be like All Might...just in a different way.

He thanked Stain once again before sitting on the floor. A purple black mist appeared and the man from the office walked through with a hand outstretched.

"Now you've seen the outside world. See how it treated you? See how heroes are fake? The heroes won't help a person like you."

The glare returned to his eyes but they seemed to smile with a hint of insanity as he raised his own arms. He hummed a tune that caused the light to sway before his vocals changed and suddenly the air around Izuku became heavy.

He took the outstretched a hand and shook it before coming to an end to his song. The black mist surrounded him and he welcomed it to him.

And with that...Izuku disappeared from the sight.
