THE LAST DIARY

DAY 28

"ENOLA!!!" I screamed for the 3rd time. There was no answer again.

I got out of bed and unlocked the room. There was nobody in the house. I started walking next door to see if anybody was there but there was no one.

This was strange as everybody is usually there. The house looked just like yesterday. The punch was still on the kitchen table and the shoe rack also looked the same. Did everyone come back and sleep yesterday?

I started walking up to where the ball was conducted. Nobody was here either. The ballroom looked the same as it was yesterday. Nothing had changed ever since my exit from the room. This feels soo much like that afternoon.

I started going back to my room when I heard the main door bang again.

"Hello Aria" rang a familiar voice.

I looked back to see mum standing behind me.

"MUM!!!!!!!!!"

"And dad," said her father standing next to her mother

"OMG I MISSED YOU SOO MUCH" I said running towards them.

"We missed you too," said her mother

"I tried contacting you""

Yeah we know we were monitoring you after all," said her father

"What do you mean?"

"Well darling you have been a good host," said her mom

"What do you mean?"

"You helped us wipe out the last traces of humanity," said her father

"WHAT?"

"Yes" replied her mom

"What do you mean by wipe out humanity?"

"We don't want humanity to exist anymore darling," said her father

"But why"

"Humans are all just cruel and selfish," said her mom

"So you decided on killing them all?"

"Oh yes, and make room for better species" said her father

"Then why couldn't you kill the rest along with me? Why couldn't you kill me?"

"Well the kids along with you were one of the firsts on this planet." Said her mom

"What do you mean one of the first?"

"When this good for nothing planet was created you kids were one of the first. You can call them God's children." Said her father

"It is impossible to erase these gods' children with the waves we created, as they mark humanity." Added her mom

"Where are they now?" I asked

"Oh they are nowhere near here" replied her father

"Huh"

"They are living the last moments of their lives," said her mother

"WHAT!" I exclaimed in disbelief.
