Two other people were with my mom in Granny's. I didn't know who these people were. So I decided to ask and it wasn't a good idea.
"Who are you two?" I asked.
"Well, daughter, these are my friends." She gestured to the people next to her.
"What's your name?" I asked, pointing to a girl with black horns on her head.
"Nothing that concerns you dear. If I told you, you'd tell everyone." The woman said.
"You're probably right." I muttered. After all, I WAS one to snitch and give away secrets.
"Why don't you want anyone to know?" I asked the woman.
"Because you'll blow my reputation." She answered.
"What reputation?" I asked.
The woman looked at my mom and said, "Cruella, can you take this?"
My mom nodded and looked at a woman with tentacles. My mom had WEIRD friends.
"My name is Ursula. I'm the sea witch." She said her name like she's said it a DOZEN times before.
Ursula.....hmmm......where have I heard that name before?
"And?" I asked impatiently.
"Wow, Cruella, you gave birth to a feisty one." Thank you?
"I know. She'll learn." With that, my mom made cuffs on my hands that were chained to the floor to keep me in place.
I struggled and struggled and could NOT break free from the cuffs.
"MOM, LET ME GO!!!!" I yelled.
"I will.....once the curse is cast." My mom said.
"What curse?" I asked, still struggling to break free.
"Well, the curse of silence of course." Ursula said smiling.
"The curse of silence? What does that mean?" I asked.
"Oh you naive little girl. I'm going to take everyone's voice away." Then, she cancelled evily.
"No.....you can't. You can't!!!! Leave these people alone!!!" I yelled.
"Very well. You have until sunrise. If you can't release yourself from these chains by sunrise, everyone's voice will be gone." Ursula said.
Sunrise? That was impossible. These chains could NOT be broken. I felt so bad. All of this was MY fault. I should've just stayed home. I should've just stayed with my mom. I should've.....listened.
