The spell of silence was cast. No one could talk. They all looked like gagging birds. I felt so bad for them. This was all my fault.
Even though I knew my voice was gone, I wanted to yell at my mom.
"MOM STOP!!!!!"
Surprisingly, when I yelled that, sound came out of my mouth. I had my voice.
Why was I the only one?
"How do you.....?" My mom asked, confused as to how I had my voice.
"I....I don't know." I said, just as confused as she was.
"I have mine too." A voice said behind me.
I turned around and saw Emma.
"How do you have a voice?" I asked.
"Because I'm the savior." I knew she was answering my question, but she directed the answer towards my mom.
"Mackenzie is NOT the savior. She CAN'T be!!" My mom yelled.
"Oh I am. Watch!" With that, I let the light magic shoot out of my hands and hit her.
The blow knocked her out momentarily. After 30 seconds, my mom was up on her feet, staring at me in utter confusion.
"How can you....?" My mom asked, beyond confused.
"I'm the savior. I was meant to come here." I said.
"NO!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO COME HERE!!!" My mom shouted.
"What?" I asked.
"I knew all along you were the savior. I didn't want you to come here because I didn't want you to save everyone." She said.
"Why do you hate everyone here so much?" I asked.
"Because among them is.....Rumpelstiltskin. He's cruel to me. All of us actually." My mom gestured to the girl with horns and Ursula. "He threatened me. He said that when I had a daughter, you, he would find her and kill her."
I looked at my mom. All along she was trying to protect me! She loved me and didn't want me in harm's way.
"Mom, I didn't know! I'm sorry. I just.....have a question." I said.
"What dear?" She asked annoyed.
"Did dad REALLY die of a sickness after I was born?" I asked. Something told me that was a lie.
"I'm not answering that question." She said.
"Why not? What'd you do?" I asked. She must've done something if she wouldn't tell me.
"Nothing."
"Yes you did."
"Go away Mackenzie."
"What. Did. You. DO!!!????"
"I KILLED HIM!!!!!"
