There were a bunch of shops, I realized, as the man, Robin, lead me to an outfit shop. The outfit shop was called "Clothes Galore!" Pretty original I'd say.

"This is it?" I asked examining the store sign that was swaying in the wind.

"Yes. Come on in and pick out an outfit." He said. He led me into the shop towards a colorful, spinning rack filled with pretty clothes. I didn't know where to start. All the clothes in this town were beautiful. Better than the clothes in my town.

I looked around that store, getting lost in the lights, sounds, and clothes, and tried to find myself a dress.

"Need help finding something?" A voice asked. I flinched upon hearing the voice. After all, the person just approached me without my consent.

"Um....I don't think so. Who are you?" I asked the unknown voice.

"The name's David. David Nolan." He extended his hand out to me so that I could shake it.

"Mackenzie." I said, shaking his hand.

"I've never heard of you before. Are you new to this town?" He asked me with utter concern.

"Yes." I responded.

"Well, nice to meet you. Welcome to Storybrooke." He said with a friendly smile.

I smiled back.

"I need some help actually, you know, with picking my dress. Could you help?" I asked the man named David with a trail of hope in my voice.

"Yes. I think this one would look great on you." He said taking a pink dress off of one of the shelves.

One look at it and I was in love.

"I'll take it! Thank you!" I said with utter excitement.

"No problem! I'll see you again soon." He said. He was nice! What was my mom talking about when she said this town was dangerous?

I paid for my dress and met Robin outside.

~~~
"Where will I be staying?" I asked him as soon as we got back to the Merry Men's camp.
"Well, you'll be staying here in one of the tents. They're very comfortable." He said.
"Thank you." I said reluctantly.
"No problem, now get some rest. It's getting pretty late." Robin said to me.
So he escorted me into my tent, gave me blankets and a pillow, and I slept. This bed was, surprisingly, more comfortable than my bed at home.
~~~

"MACKENZIE DE VILLE, YOU'RE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!" My mom yelled, furious.

"Mom, I'm sorry! I was just exploring and the people there are so nice!" I said.

"DON'T TALK BACK! THIS IS YOUR NEW HOME!" My mom yelled, picking me up and carrying me to the dungeon.

"No mom please no! I MEANT NO HARM!!!" I yelled kicking and screaming.

"DON'T FIGHT IT! HORACE, JASPER, MAKE SURE SHE STAYS PUT!" My mom yelled.

Tears were running down my cheeks, and I was screaming for help. Someone in the castle had to hear me! I didn't want it to end like this. I made a terrible mistake and I regret it. But going there was so tempting! It was like that town was a magnet pulling me towards it.

"PLEASE!!! SOMEONE HELP!! THIS IS CHILD ABUSE!! I SCREWED UP AND I'M SORRY!" I yelled through tears. Everything was blurry, since the tears blocked my vision, and there was a huge lump in my throat, making it hard to swallow. But, I pushed through it and yelled, hoping someone would hear me and help me.

My mom picked me up by the neck of my shirt and threw me in one of the dungeon cells. That cell was small and had nothing in it. Not even a chair. I banged on the cell bars, trying to break them down, but they were metal, so that was impossible.

My mom squished my cheeks and whispered, "Say hello to your new home. This is where you shall stay for eternity." My mom really announced the last word and held the "e" for the longest time. Her words chilled my bones in an eerie way.

Then, my mom reached forward and.....

I jumped out of my sleep and breathed heavily. When I touched my face, there were tears. Did I cry in my sleep? If I did, I wouldn't be surprised. That dream was terrifying.

Then it hit me. That dream was going to become a reality soon when my mom found out that I wasn't home.
