Chapter:24

                       Perspective of Gon

     "Guys! Wake up we landed!" I hear Leorios voice shout through the door. I groan and rub at my eyes still tired. The lights in the cabin blinding me slightly. "C'mon! Before they end up taking you back to Yorknew and charge you more."

   He pounds on the door. Killua starts stirring in my arms waking up. He yawns and splays out but doesn't fully wake. I look out the window finding it's still pitch black outside. "Jeez are they that heavy sleepers?" I hear Meleoron ask. "Typically no, from what I'm aware." Leorio responds.

   I kiss Killuas forehead gently before standing cradling him. "Please don't wake up Killua. You need the rest." I whisper to him. I slowly shift my way to the door unlocking it. It slides open on its own showing the others standing in the hall.

   "Damn Gon. You guys go crazy on the flight? I could hear Killua crying out from across the hall!" Leorio asks chuckling.

My cheeks heat up, quickly realizing what he's implying. "I.."

Kurapika punches leorio's arm. "Knock it off." He says cutting me off. "I doubt those two would be that perverted. Something like that sounds more like what you would do."

Leorio shrugs. "But I didn't." He winks causing his partner to roll his eyes.

"Is he alright Gon?" Ikalgo questions staring at the sleeping male in my arms.

I nod. "He's exhausted. Had a nightmare last night about Alluka again. So I'm not gonna wake him unless he has another fit. The situation is really stressing for us all but, especially him."

"Understandable. Still let's get out of here before the ship takes off again."

We nod in agreement collecting our bags and heading out.

  I'm the first to step off and take in the sight of the mountain in the distance. "We're close. Let's just hope this doesn't get more difficult." I say aloud to no one in particular.

   "Well don't jinx us then huh?" Meleoron says elbowing my side lightly. "When you hope for the best you will usually get the worst outcome."

  "That's just superstition." Kurapika declares.

  "You say that now. But this is so much like the attack on the palace, I'm practically expecting Meruem to show up right here and kill us all."

  I nod. The tension in the air is so thick you could cut it with a knife. I'm worried that we aren't as prepared as we could be.

"Well let's find a hotel." Leorio yawns. "We can still get a couple more hours of sleep. Then we can make a proper plan in the morning."

  Nodding in agreement and leave the airstrip. Making our way into the city. Not many cars out in the streets at this time, but the lights shine brightly as the day.

  "You would think a hotel would be easy to find  in a city like this." Leorio yawns. "I'm half tempted to just go crash in that alley."

   "Don't think that would be a good look for you. Imagine the headline, Hunter Doctor Leorio Paladiknight found sleeping in a dumpster." Kurapika says poking him.

   "Alright fair enough. Still we need to find a hotel. Unlike him," he motions his hand towards me. "I'm not a nature kid. I don't sleep well in trees."

   "And what gives you the impression I sleep in trees?"

  "You kidding? I've seen how you move in them. On top of that you have told us that you have before. You stayed in a tree trying to catch some fish on whale island."

   "I suppose that's fair. Not to mention how me and Killua had to sleep when we trained with bisky."

  "And in what way was that?" Meleoron asks.

  "In a sitting position holding a rope and keeping a boulder from dropping on our head."

  Leorio's jaw drops at this. "Wouldn't you basically be fully awake at that point?"

   I shrug. "It was to keep our senses sharp so that we couldn't be ambushed while sleeping. We would be able to be up and moving in a snap."

   "Then why were you guys sleeping so heavy on the ride?" Kurapika asks.

   "I don't know. I would put it to we are able to go in between the two ways of sleeping or stress. Could be cause of lack of practice. I haven't been in many life or death situations in the passed year so. Could be the same for Killua but I doubt it."

  "Makes sense. The less you use something or do something it's not gonna be like it was. Like leg atrophy for people who can't walk." Leorio states.

   "Hey guys, I can see a hotel a couple blocks down." Ikalgo says jumping into our conversation.

  "Damn bout time." Meleoron stretches his arms above his head. We speed up our walk rushing to the hotel.

  I lay down Killua on the bed upon entering the room, quickly crashing down next to him. I rub my eyes. Getting rooms took longer than it should have. We all weren't even able to get rooms on the same floor.

   Killua and I on the second floor. The ants on the fourth floor. Leaving Kurapika and Leorio on the 8th floor. I don't understand how this hotel can be so packed. Not even the hotel in Yorknew was this busy.

  I look over to Killua. His chest rising and falling slowly. He seems calm and relaxed right now. "Tomorrow Killua. We will save her. And save you from this nightmare." I whisper, sliding my fingers in his hair.

  Before another thought comes to mind I'm greeted with endless dark as I fall asleep.

Perspective of Illumi

"Are you sure it's them?"

"Positive. I saw them through city security cameras. A group of six people. Gon carrying Killua, The Blonde one, the tall one with glasses, and a lizard man and a small octopus."

  "So he came with Gon? Guess I'll have to show kil what happens when you don't follow orders."

   Milluki turns to me. "Are you gonna hurt Alluka? Get him pissed off?"

I turn and leave the room without giving him an answer. Hastily making my way down the corridor passing Hisoka, who is twirling a card through his fingers.

"Oh? What is the rush my dear Illumi~? It's pretty late to go out for a stroll."

I pause and stare at him. "Stay here. Do not leave the mountain Hisoka."

   "Keeping secrets from me? I hope you're not cheating on me!" He exclaims giving me a teasing pout.

I pinch the bridge of nose in annoyance. I turn and leave the clown chuckling in the corridor.
