Erinor
Erinor held his torch firmly in his hand. The tunnels that led around the castle were dusty to say the least, Erinor was probably the only person who new about them. He was coming up to the meeting room. He could hear the muffled voices from behind the wall. It was his father speaking, that he was sure of.
“What news of the invaders?” said his father
Erinor was most intrigued by this, invaders were in their lands and yet he hadn’t been told of this.
“They have not spoken to us yet and I do not think they plan to. They have taken up refuge in the south but our scouts say they have been preparing weaponry ever since they have arrived. I fear they are mounting an army my lord.”
“How many are there?” said the king.
Erinor could hardly hear his father, but he knew he was scared.
“Thousands my king. We have no definite answer but they are easily in the ten thousands.”
“What of their skills, appearance, do we know nothing of the enemy?”
“We have not seen their ability in combat yet, but my scouts informed me that they have a similar appearance to us, only that their ears are not pointy and they grow hair on their faces”
“Will we be able to retaliate if they attack?”
“Even if they had similar abilities as us, we would be wiped out in a mater of days. Especially after the Great War, we haven’t even prepared war preparations. WE have a minimal number of soldiers and since the snow elves have locked themselves up in their tower, I fear we are low on weaponry as well”
“What of the forest dwellers, the archers?”
“We have sent word to the Queen and we have yet to receive a response from her. Even then the wood elves were almost wiped out during the war, I doubt they will provide little if any aid to us”
“Nonetheless we must trust them. What of the other elves?”
“The snow elves are completely locked away from any means of communication whatsoever. The Dark elves, we are still waiting a response yet our sources say that they are preparing and training soldiers”
“Soldiers?”
“Aye my lord.”
“Have they caught wind of the intruders yet?”
“No my lord, I have reason to assume that their target is something else…”
“Us?”
“Perhaps not us but doubtfully the intruders?”
“What of the blood elves? They must be able to help us”
“No my lord, they have refused to speak with us”
“So that’s it. Were just going to die and give up.”
“Well no my lord, for the time being they have not attacked. I recommend we make use of this time and build our own army and create a defense around the city”
“Very well then, make it happen. And I want this of the upmost security, we wouldn’t want this information getting into the wrong hands”, said the king, but little did he know, his son was right behind the wall.
