Picture of Ash

Ash's POV

Ugh! I can't believe I'm failing math. I guess I just need help.

"Mr. Hoffman? Can I get help?" I ask.

"What do you need help with?"

"Math, I'm struggling. I can't seem to keep my grade up."

"I'll find someone to help you."

I sigh. Thank god! I need help. You walk away saying thanks. Heading to my locker, I bump into someone. "Watch i-" I start to say.

Katie's POV

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I wa-" I stutter, "was going."

This girl, I think, with short brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes was staring back at me. She looked hurt. I love- wait! No. I'm straight, she's a girl. I can't like her. Ugh.

"Sorry," she says. "Um. I'm Ash" OH. It's Ash! That one popular girl. I've seen her a few times before. She is really hot. Omg, did I say that out loud. She's looking at me. Uh, say something.

"Oh hi, Katie, Katie Campbell. Sorry about that again."

"Oh." Ash rubs the back of her neck. "It's fine, I wasn't watching where I was going anyways.

Ash's POV

I arrive at the library after school to meet the person who is tutoring me. I see Katie sitting at one of the tables. I walk up to her, "hey!"

Katie jumps a bit. "Ah! Oh uh. Hi? What are you doing here?"

I giggle, did I just giggle? Like a girl? "Well I'm waiting for my tutor but seeing that it's just you and me in here, I think it's you."

Katie seems shocked, "Oh yeah. That's me!" I take a seat. "What do you need help with?

We talk and she helps me understand some of the algebra stuff we are learning. I get her number and we set up another time for tomorrow. "Can we do this at your house instead?" I ask.

"Uh. No. My parents don't let people over. I can go to your house though." Katie says, he voice cracks.

She seems on edge but I shake it off. I also shake the butterfly feeling I have in my stomach when she said she can come to my house. My house. Ugh! What is this feeling?
