The next day

Katie's POV

School just ended and Ash offered to give me a ride to her house, which I gladly accepted. I really wasn't in the mood to walk an hour.

Bumming into someone, I apologize. I turn and  realize that it's Ash, again.

"We need to stop bumping into each other like this," I say laughing.

"Yeah, we do." Ash says. "Are you ready to go?"

I nod and follow Ash to her car. It's a motorcycle. "Oh god," I say.

"Is there a problem?"

I shake my head. "I've never been on a motorcycle before."

Ash laughs, like a real laugh. "I'll take it slow."

Ash gives me my helmet and I slide it on. I get on and wrap my arms around her. I'm so nervous.

Ash starts driving and I feel a jolt of energy run through me. We hit the road and I love this. I apparently start to let go a bit because Ash yells at me to keep my arms around her. Oops. This is so much fun. It was quick to end though. As we pulled into the driveway, I pout. I didn't want it to end, it's so much fun. I take my helmet off and give it to Ash. She laughs. Apparently my messed up hair is funny.Well, I think that's what she was laughing at. She is really pretty when she laughs. Her face just lights up.

We head inside and head straight upstairs to her room so we can get started. We start studying when I realize I'm staring and her. I can't seem to draw my eyes away from her. She's mesmerizing. God! These thoughts need to stop. "Uh. Did you need something?"

I snap out of my thoughts and realize I'm starting at Ash again. Ugh! "No, sorry, I zoned out."

She laughs again. "I get that, it's fine. Do you want to stay for dinner? My parents told me to ask."

I'm shocked. No one has ever asked me to stay at their house, let alone Ash. "Yeah, let me just call my parents.

I pull out my phone and call my mom. She is most likely not to yell at me. She picks up and I ask her if I can stay and that I have a ride home. She immediately says no. I try and say it's for studying but she doesn't believe me. She probably thinks that I'm out with some boy having sex. Ugh. I hang up and say, "Sorry I can't."

She looks hurt but just nods, "When do you have to be home then?"

"Twenty minutes,"

She nods and gets up. "Wanna ride for the next 20 minutes then? You seem to have liked it earlier."

My face lit up. "YES! I-uh- yes?"

She laughs again. "Let's go,"

We grab our bags and head downstairs. I thank her mom for letting us study her and head outside. I head Ash day something about her and love. Couldn't really make out the rest. It's fine though. I pull my helmet on and wait for ash to get on. I hold on tight and we drive off. It's exhilarating. He stop all of a sudden when I realize that we pulled into an ice cream shop. I love ice cream. Ash says, "I'm buying you ice cream. It's my treat for you helping me."

"I-" I start to say but there is nothing to say. I'll let her buy ice cream for me anytime. "Thank you." I smile at her.

Ash's POV

God, I love her smile. We head inside and order ice cream. She got strawberry and I got mint. She's so pretty. I can't handle it. I just want to kiss her. I cannot believe I'm saying this but I'm falling for her. We sit down and start talking. Not about school work but life. Family and friends and just how life is going in general. I fell harder for her as we talked. When we finished our ice cream, we had to quickly get her home. Speeding slightly, I got her home on time. We say goodbye and she leaves.
