Okay, so you are in this band with your buddies and your band's whole thing was to challenge the norm, one way you did that was by making out with your best friend on stage to challenge homophobia, or that is what you claim it was. The American rock band from Newark NJ, My Chemical Romance did exactly that. The band wanted to challenge homophobia. In the beginning it was wearing makeup, tight pants, and tight shirts all of that stuff was made for women at the time.
Eventually this changed. The band went on tour with Linkin Park, and Mindless Self Indulgence in July of 2007 which started on the 23rd. Throughout the 3 month tour Lead Singer, Gerard Arthur Way and Rhythm Guitarist Frank Anthony Thomas Iero Jr. Had made out multiple times, most every show had the "stage gay" phenomenon. The band members had gotten questioned about if Frank and Gerard Were in a relationship, to which the band members answered with "it's to challenge homophobia." Way had many explanations to why those thing were happening between him and his band mate we just went over one but here are some others "we are teaching kids to be themselves" "it just happened" "it was because of sudden adrenalin"
Those are just some of the excuses/explanations to why what was happening was happening. After those questions were asked the things between the band mates stopped and the two got in a fight at a show which lasted about 30 seconds, but most likely continued after the show. The fight started because Frank attempted to hug Gerard this for whatever reason angered Gerard causing the fight. At the very end of this tour Gerard Way married his wife Lyn-z Ballato on September 3rd 2007.
