P.O.V. Jorge

It's been almost a month since the sleepover at Alice's. Benji won't talk to me. I guess it was my fault for kissing him in the first place. The only time he even makes eye contact with me is when we have meetings with Alice. I catch him staring at me every once in a while, but I try to ignore it. Honestly I'm not mad at him as much as I am sad about him. I understand if he doesn't want more than a friendship, but to completely ignore me and pretend like we don't even know each other? That seems like a little much to me.

Today is the monthly day long meeting with the corporate officers, which doesn't really make sense, since we work at the corporate office, and Alice is the only corporate officer. But that's beside the point. The point is, I'm gonna be stuck in a tiny room for a whole day with the boy I kissed and who won't talk to me anymore, and our manager who also happens to be our best friend.

I decided to get ready for work after contemplating if I should even be going in the first place. Although I really don't want to go to this meeting, it's important, and I really like this internship, so I decided to just go and get it over with.

I put on some khakis and a blue button up shirt, leaving the top buttons undone. Running out the door, I waved goodbye to my momma and hopped into my car. On the way to work, I was listening to the oldies station, and Everybody Wants To Rule The World came on. Of course since it is my favorite song I had to belt it out.

Once I got to work, I saw that Benji's car was already there. I really wish he would just talk to me. It would sure make things less awkward, that's for sure. I took a deep breath and walked into the building. I waved at Ted as I entered, and walked up to the third floor. Walking through the door to our small office, I ran into, you guessed it, Benji.

"Oh, uh sorry Benji," I mumbled.

"It's fine," he said looking at me.

He just stood there, staring. What was he doing? He just ignores me for weeks and all of a sudden he can't keep his eyes off me?

"If you don't mind, I need to get through," I said breaking the silence.

"Right," he said, "sorry."

Well that was weird. Benji moved out of the way and let me through. He left the small office, and made his way to the conference room. I set down my stuff at my desk, and mentally prepared myself for this meeting.

As I arrived at the conference room, I noticed that there were a few older men and women already sitting down at the table. Odd. Usually it would just be Alice, Benji and I.

"Jorge!" Alice said as she embraced me in a hug.

"Hi Alice," I giggled, "Why are there so many people here today?"

"Looks like someone forgot to check their email," she scolded.

"Sorry," I apologized.

"It's okay babes. Today we are planning the business trip!"

Oh god. I totally forgot about that. I really don't wanna go, considering Benji and I weren't even on speaking terms. Plus, Alice will be running around doing meetings and such the whole time. I'll have no one to hang out with. But I guess I have to go.

"So, everyone, please take a seat," Alice said motioning for us to all sit. Of course, I ended up sitting right next to Benji. Just my luck. I looked at him for a brief moment, and saw that he was already staring. Jeez, he acts like he doesn't want anything to do with me then he stares me down like a total creep? Make up your mind Benjamin.

Time skip -----

The meeting had been going on for an hour, and I was already bored out of my mind. I don't even know what the topic of discussion was anymore. I looked up and noticed that Benji was drifting in and out of sleep. I giggled and tapped his foot with mine.

"Benji," I whispered.

Nothing.

"Benji!" I whispered louder.

Still nothing.

"Benjamin!" I whisper yelled.

His eyes shot open. He looked around and realized where he was. Thankfully, no one had noticed the whole scene that we had just caused. He looked at me in shock realizing that my foot was resting lightly on his.

"Sorry," I said, obviously embarrassed.

"It's okay," he said, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

I was so taken aback by the fact that he literally just smiled at me after a month of not even wanting to look at me, that I didn't notice Alice was trying to talk to us.

"Hello? Boys? Did you hear what I just said?"

"Uh no, sorry," I replied.

She sighed and said, "We are going to take a 15 minute break. After that, we will reconvene here to go over the plans for the trip, and then I will assign everyone a buddy that they will have to stay with the whole time, and share a room with. Alright, I will see you all in 15 minutes."

We got up and small conversations started up around the room. I pulled out my phone getting ready to reply to a few texts, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around and was met with the face of one Benjamin Krol.

"Will you come with me to the bathroom...to uh...talk?" he asked.

"Um, sure," I replied.

Hi, guys. I'm sorry that I haven't been updating.....like at all. I have been so busy with online school and stuff that I have no time for anything else. I have been feeling super stuck with this story (I know, I have barely even written anything and I am already stuck). I think this story is gonna end up being a much shorter story than I expected, BUT! I have a really good idea for a new Benjey story for when I am done with this one. So, as always, thank you so much for reading, and I hope you liked this chapter!
