Chapter 8

P.O.V. Benji

I don't know why I did it. I shouldn't have ignored him this whole time. He kissed me. And I kissed him back. It takes two to tango, and damn did we tango. To be honest, I don't know what I want, all I know is that I don't want to hurt him.

He walked with me to the bathroom. I wanted to make this right. Just because I am confused doesn't mean we can't be friends. I needed to apologize.

"Are you okay?" Jorge said as I closed and locked the single person bathroom.

"Just shut up for a minute, okay?" I begged.

Deep breaths, Benji. You can do it.

I exhaled and said, "I'm sorry, Jey."

"It's okay-" he started, but I cut him off.

"You know what, it's not okay. I was such a jerk for not talking to you. Sure, you are the one that initiated the kiss, but I kissed you back. And don't get me wrong, I liked it...a lot. But I just don't want that kind of involvement with anyone right now. You are such a sweet, kind, loving, beautiful person, Jey and i would never, ever want to hurt you," I practically shouted.

"Shhh, Benji, it's okay. I'm not mad, and I understand. You have the right to want to stay just friends. I can't say that it's what I want, but I love being your friend, and I love spending time together. So please, I am begging you, don't let what happened that night ruin our friendship. Let's just forget about it, okay?" he asked.

I could tell it pained him to say this. I felt so bad, but I just don't have the willpower to figure myself out enough to make things even possibly work in a way that is more than friendship.

"Okay," I replied, "Thank you Jey, really."

He looked up at me and smiled. God, why did he have to be so cute. He wrapped his arms around my neck and held me tight. I returned the hug, wrapping my arms around his slim waist.

"We should head back," he said after a bit.

"Let's go then, sir," I teased.

"Oh shut up, Benjamin."

We walked out of the bathroom and headed back to the conference room.

Time skip -----------------

"Alright everyone, get excited, because we are going to, drum roll please... Hawaii!!!" Alice cheered.

"Wow, I'm surprised we have enough money to go to Hawaii for a business trip," I said.

"Well, you aren't paying for it, so just be grateful, mister," she replied.

I rolled my eyes at her and continued to listen to her talk.

"So, we have lots of things to talk about. First off, I am going to assign you your roommates who will also be your buddies for the trip. Alright, we have Jenny and Kimber, Sam and Jacob, Blaine and Kurtis, Rachel and Brittany, and Benji and Jorge," Alice said.

I looked at Jorge and saw him give me a thumbs up and a big grin. He's such a cutie.

"Let me just make it clear, now that you know who your buddies are, you are not allowed to switch, I'm looking at you Brittany and Rachel," Alice scolded.

Brittany and Rachel both glared at each other and crossed their arms.

"Okay, so I will pass around the schedule. Keep in mind that everyone's schedule will be different depending on which department you work in. Please take a few minutes to look at your schedule with your buddy, then we will go over all the other details, and if we end early, you will all be free to go home early," Alice stated.

Jorge and I started to look at the schedule.

Jorge and Benji's schedule

Thursday-

Arrive at airport at 5:00 am

Take off at 8:00 am

Arrive in Oahu around 7:00 pm

Check in at hotel

Free time for the rest of the evening

Friday-

You two get the whole day to have fun and explore. Since you are only interns, you don't have to go to any meetings, but you do have to come to the company dinner!

Company dinner at 6:30 pm

Saturday-

Breakfast Buffet at 10 am

Convention Ball (dress nice!)

Sunday-

Board the shuttle at 7:00 am

Arrive at airport at 7:45 am

Plane takes off at 11:00 am

Arrive home around 8:00 pm

I was honestly getting really excited about this trip. Now that Jorge and I are good, this is going to be so fun.

"I cannot tell you all how excited I am for this little trip!" Alice said, "I know we are going to have a wonderful time. I don't think I have anything else to cover, so you are all free to go home. See you all on Thursday morning, bright and early!"

And with that, we all were on our way out of the conference room. I looked to Jorge who was walking next to me.

"Hey," I said.

"Whats up?"

"Wanna come over and help me pack tonight?" I asked.

"Sure! What time?" he asked.

"Is 8 good?"

"Sounds good to me," he answered.

"See you at 8 then," I said smiling at him.

"Eight," he replied, smiling.
