Even If I Can't Love You

Chapter 7

It's been two months. Ashlyn feels a little distant from both Ali and Alex. Ali's been spending a lot of her time with Servando. She doesn't really like him as anything more than a friend, but dates him anyway. 

Tonight is another date night for Ali. Just a casual dinner and movie. She walks over to Servando's dorm and knocks. She doesn't get an answer, so she uses the key to open his door. Ali quietly walks inside, using the key he gave her. She looks around and finds her date sitting on his bed. With another girl. And that girl was the one and only, Alex Morgan.

Ali bangs her arm against the wall to get his attention. He shoots up in the bed as Ali raises her eyebrow. Servando just sits there frozen with Alex. 

"Forget it. It's over," is all Ali says before she walks out of the room, going back to her and Ashlyn's dorm. 

She sits down on the bed next to her best friend, and sighs. 

"What's on your mind, princess?" Ashlyn asks.

"Ash, I need to talk to you."

Ashlyn cautiously nods before Ali continues.

"Alex cheated on you. She slept with Servando. I walked in on them before my date and ended things  with him. I don't wanna be rude, but I think you should break up with Alex. I don't trust her."

Ashlyn just sighs.

 "Alex's been pretty distant lately. I guess now I know why. I shouldn't have trusted her."

Ashlyn paced around the room.

She lifted her head form her gaze at the floor, and looked at Ali.

"Thank you," she said.

Ashlyn pulled out her phone, and sent a text to Alex.

Meet me by the library in 10 mins.

"What do you mean I cheated on you!?" Alex shouted at the other girl.

"You slept with Servando. You cheated on me. We're done," Ashlyn said, expressionless.

Ashlyn walked out of the library, and went back to her and Ali's dorm. When she walked inside, she found her best friend cuddled up in bed. 

Ashlyn slipped into bed next to the brunette, only to feel Ali cuddle closer to her.

"Goodnight, princess. I love you."
